It was crazy to realize that it had been seven years since Darcy first ran speed dating here in Madison Valley. A lot had happened during that time. She'd seen a lot of people come and go, had several relationships, had a kid, and really had just grown up a lot as a person. There had been a lot of good that had come from speed dating, even if just for a short time for some folks.
As usual, there were flyers lying around with suggested questions if people needed some good ice breakers. There were also appetizers and, of course, the bar was well stocked. After the main event, there would be several hours available for folks to mingle, regardless of whether they participated or not.
When the clock struck six, Darcy rang the bell and stood on a chair. "All right, gang. Round one starts when I ring the bell again. Please make your way to the first table on your list. Have fun!" She waited for folks to make their way around the room and, once it seemed like most were settled, she rang the bell again.
