It was Sunday. Will opened the door, propping it to let in the spring air to the lobby. He smiled brightly, glad to be here. There were several classes scheduled towards the evening, but there was some open time for anyone to use the space. The jungle set up was just behind the doors and it was set and ready - tall trees to climb, vines to swing from, hidden animals to avoid. It was certain to be a good day.

The theme was a day in the garden, to highlight Aurie's love of the outdoors. No expense was spared in decorating the area to look like a thriving garden, with flowers and trees and complete with bugs and a couple princess faeries. Octavia thought it looked a little bit magical. it was probably too much for a two year old to appreciate but hopefully some of the adults who came to the party would recognise the effort she put into it all.

Bellamy has strung lights along the path that leads to a place in the woods where he's decorated a bunch of trees. In the middle, in a clearing, is a large bonfire - the only place in the area not covered in snow. Bellamy's not much of a party guy, but there's a table with some drinks - hot chocolate, coffee, tea, hot cider, and some cookies and chips from the store. The fire will be going all night, so people are welcome to stay as long as they like.

It turns out that Nina is a mutant like myself and has already manifested her powers. It is unusual for them to do so but her ability is to communicate with animals. She would like to have a pet but I told her we would have to ask how everyone in the house felt about it first.

I already put my foot down about a laser puppy when she wanted Star to make her one and please no one mention the animal shelter.

Brunch was absolutely delightful. Whoever my new friend's date was, I hope they enjoyed her slightly more sparkly dress. I do love doing that kind of thing. I feel refreshed after all that.

Terrain's courses have been updated, sorry that they weren't changing on their normal schedule. My bad. But have fun, folks.

And now, off to renovate the apartment a bit. No holiday decor necessary but I do have plans to accomplish before tonight. I have plans for tonight but I think I need to work out a few kinks in the house first. It might take the edge off.
