Still haven't gotten completely used to the quiet at night. Reminds me a lot of growing up in Paramus, but after living in New York for so long, I just got used to the constant noise. Almost asked the lady at Walmart today if there was a white noise machine in stock that had a siren setting (police or ambulance, doesn't matter) or something akin to "angry group of drunken loiters in the hallway of your apartment building".

Alas, it wasn't meant to be.

So...I've officially become one of those parents.

Much as I appreciate the candy and anonymous valentine, I think the best is just getting the paper art project from Cassie at preschool.

Is it perfect, no..does it deserve to be in a museum..only with the other children if that's the case, but I'm letting her have it just for how proud she was when she gave it to me.

While it lacks the rustic charm of Zhu Zin, I can't say I mind the place. Fewer animals, better hygiene, it's the simple things, really. I have a few issues with the travel limitations but there's not much I can do about that, I've been told.

Such as it is, I've been given my orientation and this neat little gadget, and set free to roam as I please. I guess if I'm stuck here then I should start looking for a job. Perhaps a bit quick, but I've never been the sort to sit idle for long. Where do they post the Wanted listings around here?
