I still have so much to learn about this world, it's so different from District 12. I do wish my friends were here. I miss Katniss, Peeta, ~~and even~~and Gale. It would be nice if I had my parents around too. ~~Maybe if my mom shows up, we could get her the medicine she needs to help with her headaches.~~

I was wondering if there was a piano somewhere in town? I haven't played since I arrived here, and I think it would make me feel less homesick.

Normally, I have no real problems with magic. Sometimes, knowing a magic user comes in handy.

When I'm pulled through magical portals into alternate dimensions with no way of getting back home, however, then I do have problems with magic. Especially when I have important things to do back home.

I'm Marlene McKinnon, and forgive me for being frightfully rude, but I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself to everyone because I've been so busy trying to learn how to use this muggle technology, attempting to become familiar with the town, and looking for a decent cup of tea. Unfortunately, I've only somewhat succeeded in one of those things. This town is rather lovely, and I'm aware that I could be trapped in a place far worse than this, but you Americans do not know how to make tea, and having to use the angriest owl in the Owlery would be preferable to this PTA contraption.

While I am waiting to here back from Ms Swan about a legal guardian as I am sure this world doesn't allow people who are underage to live by themselves or with an unknown person which is my current situation I thought it would be best if I started to find my way around town and as much about this town as a I could. Perhaps someone could at least provide me answers on the first?

Also, are there any bookstores here that I could take a look at?

Wotcher, Storybrooke!

I can't rightly say I've ever expected to be pulled through a portal and told to live in another town before. It's going to take some getting used to and I'm going to miss my Mum and Da something fierce, but it's not so bad here, right? At least there isn't a war going on, but it's a bloody shame I'm not there anymore to fight in the one back home anymore.

Experience has shown me that when something out of the ordinary happens Potter, Black, Peter, and Remus aren't too far to be found, and despite all the solid evidence and people saying that this is really happening and that I am in Maine in the year 2013 punching letters on a "PDA" to communicate with everyone, I'm still not convinced that they didn't have a hand in this. Marlene? Emme? Dorcas? Tuni? Please say you're here as well.

I have to admit the person who gave me this and explained everything that was going on was most helpful. Still I find it hard to believe - it was only 1940 from where I came from and it is now 2013? I cannot think of any magic that could pull you that far into the future and to America at the same time.

Oh my god no freaking way this is AHHHH okay I can't say I always wanted to go to Maine because uh Stephen King is a good enough reason. Not the guy himself, don't know how creepy he is, but mostly because every messed up thing he writes about is in this state. And I can totally see it right now.
