Skye was shot twice in the stomach back home. She lost a lot of blood and was in critical condition before I came back here. There's a chance she might not make it. There's a good chance I'm going to try and beat the man who did that to her into a bloody pulp.

Sometimes I miss the person I used to be. I had an easier time connecting with people back then. I was more than cold and people didn't immediately assume the worst about me.

If you don't hear from me for a couple of days assume I drove my fist through my laptop screen in an attempt not to post any more truths.

I am so tired of people thinking that I'm just some pet dog of Jane's. She doesn't even like me, to be honest. I'm glad she's not here because she'd just give me a bunch of condescending crap. I'm my own person. And I'm amazing. I refuse to be in her stupid perfect shadow any longer.

You know, I was looking forward to a Valentine's Day that wasn't horrifying, violent and bloody. It just felt like it would be a nice change. Something different. From what everyone said, Valentine's outside of Night Vale is sweet and romantic.

But...I don't know. Mostly it's just lonely. And depressing. I think I would take horror and bloodshed and overwhelming existential terror over this.

But maybe I'm just being maudlin.

I miss Carlos.

I also miss having an intern. But that's a little different.

So the community college here isn't bad, but I was thinking it might be really interesting if some of us from different worlds could get together for like...discussion groups. To learn about where everyone else comes from, to compare belief systems and the like. Nothing formal, of course, just maybe a meeting in the library every week. I think it would be great if we could all get to know each other a bit better, and I think we have a great deal to learn from each other.

So, Halloween is pretty much the best holiday. I've got my list of costumes narrowed down to 3. I know, amazing, right? Especially considering that so many of the options I could find are actual real life people here. Or maybe that helped me narrow it down a bit more.

So, party? It's getting a bit cold to have another one at the beach. Maybe we should see about renting out one of the bars or something? Or seeing if there's some other large building we could use? I don't know. But I don't especially want to freeze, you know?

Storybrooke seems very accommodating so far. As far as recent kidnappings go, this one is actually very nice. I could use a vacation. ~~Lord knows that mess with Killian is going to leave me with so much paperwork when we get back~~

Dr. Banner, it looks like Tony and I will be staying with you. I hope that won't be a problem. I know we haven't really gotten a chance to get to know each other yet, but I always look forward to meeting Tony's friends.

Are there any casual kind of teams around here? Lacrosse, or soccer (football, for Brits) or anything? Maybe with non-superpowered people? Or separate teams for superhumans and then the rest of us can cheerlead for you and play on our own as a warm up or something?

The library's got a lot of stock for a little place. If anyone's got books from home they don't mind letting us borrow, but don't want to leave, I managed to unearth a scanner, so I can scan in things for digital copies. Not great ones, but better than nothing for stuff that might not exist on the internet in this reality.

Isn't this town starting to burst at its seams? The problem with too many bodies in too little space is that they all use up things. You start to run out of food or whiskey and what choice do you have but to use magic to bring in more? And then the magic goes wrong. Maybe it even brings in more people. And then all the things are gone, and just the people left.

This is how universes end, I think.

Isn't it a good thing we have the Mayor to guide us all through this? I'm sure you'll all want to fall into line behind someone your own stories call The Evil Queen.

I'm planting a vegetable garden. I doubt it will help in time.

So, I know it's early morning but, sleeping these days isn't exactly my strong suit. Is anyone else but me having trouble sleeping due to ~~awful nightmares and~~the lack of being in space, or the strangeness of non-cycled air? I can understand a small adjustment or discomfort, but this is a bit much..
