This town was in some ways terribly similar to Cainsville. It was weird, had its own little charm and ran itself. The fact no one had a clue as to the how's or why's of this place really didn't matter, it was too similar to home that she didn't feel out of place too long. The apartment was better than hers, not that she'd say that to her landlady back home, and while it wasn't the same as her mother's house, it was nice. Once she'd have seen the grand that was given to her as hardly a drop in the bucket of her daily spending, now she was careful with it. She was one of the few who went from rich to poor and only had a few stumbles along the way. She was comfortable with less. She had splurged on a good pair of running shoes and new workout wear, because if nothing else, this place provided new running trails.
Olivia was missing Gabriel, Ricky and Rose like crazy, though, she didn't realize how much she leaned on them until they were out of the picture. It was almost depressing to think that this was what life would be like without them. That thought had her out running today, she didn't want to linger on it too much and she didn't exactly want them to come here either. Her feet hit the ground evenly, her rhythm smooth, she didn't fight the ground. She'd pulled her hair up into a ponytail, the ends bobbing along as she ran. She'd made it through most of her run before she found herself in the park. She hadn't intended to go there, but she trusted her gut these days. When the world told her to go someway, she went. Much easier than trying to ignore it.
She found a bench to sit down on and rest, lazily looking around. She stiffened her shoulders a bit when she saw a magpie off to the left. She didn't think there were magpies here. Which meant ... she sighed, great she saw omens here too. Luck be her life. She said to herself, mostly, "One is an omen of bad luck." she frowned a bit, couldn't there be two? You know, a nice omen for once? She shook her head.
Of course not. "Well at least it isn't ravens." she said a little louder.
