Olivia was tired, she had applied at Ivy Tech for an Adjunct position. She had an Ivy League education, might as well use it right? And now she was tired of thinking. Her gut told her to go walk in nature and try to clear her head, so she went. She let her feet guide her through the park, enjoying the quiet of winter. She had warm, comfy boots and a simple coat, but she didn't seem to really notice the cold right now. She ignored the chill and tucked her hands into her pockets. All things said and done, she wasn't the type to go outside.
Nor originally anyways. Ricky had been helping her with that one. And the memories of her birth parents and their fostering of a love of both mythology, superstitions, and nature, had pushed her towards a less city life. She was still unsure of it all, things were... awkward at best. Cainsville had been a nice paradise originally, but the more she learned about it, the less likely she was to find the same measure of peace she had originally found there. The appeal of small town living, however, hadn't actually left her. She liked it. Madison Valley wasn't exactly the same as Cainsville, but it wasn't bad. It was somewhere between Cainsville and Chicago. It was a good transition place to be.
Olivia listened when she felt the urge to sit down, and she found a nice fallen log to settle down on and she rested her elbows on her knees, head in her hands, and just watched. She watched a rabbit hop across her path, and tried to remember if there were any omens or superstitions about them when she heard a faint noise, and looked up. Olivia had found her sensory issues back in full swing in this place, the magic of the Fae wasn't here and every little sound was louder in her ears, it was better in the forest, though, the sounds (and scents), weren't overwhelming.
"Oh, hello." she greeted the person with a smile.
