Okay, I am trying to make up this pamphlet for newbie arrivals and have some questions for all of you.

What was the most helpful thing someone told you upon arrival?
What was the least helpful thing told to you?
What information would you have liked to have known upon arrival that you didn't find out until later on?

I find your calendar exceedingly stupid.

We have 11 days to a span opposed to your 7 a week. A year is 8 months, or 32 span and 352 days rather than 365. It took me a whole week to discover what was wrong with it.

The moon phase is also exceedingly stupid. Our moon phase lasts 72 and 1/3rd days.

I think it would be a good idea to include mention of our representatives. Only because many of our recent members were not here for their election and therefore wouldn't know who to take their concerns to.

With it made known they might more easily divert concerns before they become issues.

Mentioning the fact that magic exists here would be useful for those of us whose home timelines don't have the concept.

Also the fact that as far as we can tell, time passes differently here. It would probably prevent at least some of the worries about people's responsibilities at home.

Some basic legal advice would also be a good idea for people arriving from the distant past or future - explaining their rights and a general idea of what's legal here and isn't, because obviously cultural standards vary considerably.

It does? I didn't even know that part. Though I guess it makes sense how my friends are here and I didn't even remember them disappearing on me.

Do we actually know what our rights are yet?

I was here the last time this question was asked. That means I've been here a fair sight too long.

I don't think I should answer the questions as when I arrived folk weren't near as organized as they are now and I didn't get told much of anything.

There should be something that says to come by the clinic - mine, not the city's - so I can give you whatever vaccinations you need, and treat whatever illnesses you have that may be treatable, especially if you come from the past.

I fear that some of us know little enough about this world that even explanations that you consider simple may help us very little. Perhaps there should be different 'pamphlets', depending on the technology of the world from whence we came?
