My newest Accessory!. I have some nice scars from all the pins and fun shit that they put in there. But no more cast and this thing is way easier to walk around in. Still have PT, obviously, and some restrictions still. But yay, walking without a wheelchair is a new thing and I'm loving it.

I'm actually excited to celebrate my birthday today since I never got to live to be twenty-five back home. Plus, I get to see my daughter grow up here and that makes me happy and I am more than content to start a new chapter of my life here.

I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row to open a small photography studio in the Community Center. If all goes well and I get all this legal paperwork done right, I should be able to open by the end of the month. Just in time to do holiday portraits if people are interested.

If anyone wants to offer to help me with the whole paperwork thing, I'd be grateful.

I wanted to talk to you girls about something. With Topanga gone, I know there are things you're going to need help with that I can't do because I'm not a woman. How would you guys feel about asking Liz to move in with us? She'd have her own room and everything, but she's someone that we know and trust.

You know as much as I love the nursing program, there is part of me that wishes that there was a study group or something of the sort where I could converse with fellow students in the prpgram. Or maybe even graduates, but to my recollect, I haven't seen anything on campus.

My store is in need of a full time and part time person who may be looking for employment. Cash handling, scooping and lifting somewhat heavy items is the routine here. Oh, and a positive attitude is a must. And maybe even a love of chocolate - but that's not entirely necessary.

I have to say that I've been enjoying the month so far. Since my daughter is here and I never got to see her grow up back home. And I'm also in the nursing program, honing my skills.

Granted, I'm a little overwhelmed at times, but I'm making do, since that's life at times.

There isn't enough coffee in the day for the first days back to at the college.

Just out of curiosity, how many people would choose to stay here if given the option of staying or returning home?
