Thanksgiving isn't a holiday we celebrate in England, but I think the idea behind it is a good one.

We all have something to be grateful for, and I think it's good for us to take a day and concentrate upon that.

Myself, I am thankful for Will and Tessa, and for this place, which restored me to health. I hope that I will never have to leave Madison Valley.

Now that summer's here, and the weather's lovely, I thought maybe we could have a day at the pool for mothers, fathers and little ones. The pool out at the park has a great gathering place, and a wonderful slide, and while a lot of our children aren't old enough for that, I think it would be fun for them to be outside and in the water.

I could reserve us the part with the umbrellas if people are interested, and we could have a picnic, summer pool party this Sunday. Does that sound nice?

I had an interesting conversation with a young girl that got me thinking about an important point.

Human beings - nay, life, really - is incredibly fragile. Ending it is incredibly easy. I know that many of us here are fighters of one sort or another, so perhaps you can weigh in on this.

Is it braver to kill or not to kill? Does it take more strength to find mercy? I would say that indeed it does.

My daughter is going to be two years old in a couple of months.

I was wondering if it would be too early to start her with swimming lessons? I know she would love the water - she loves her baths - and it seems like children around here love to do that in the summer.

I went for a walk around town today. From one end to the other and back again!

It's the longest walk I've taken since I arrived here; I must truly be getting better. It's been a long road of healing, but I'm glad that it seems that the doctors and healers were right - I will make a full recovery.
