Ms. Ella,
Under normal circumstances, I would have sent a letter, but I realized I do not know your address. An electronic letter might seem more informal, but it is a more certain way of reaching you.
I wish to apologize if my behavior offended you during the last week. None of us were ourselves, but if you were to imagine our places reversed, and you saw someone you thought of as family serving a strange cult that turned into beasts, would you not also be worried?
It is true, my reaction may have been more passionate than yours, given what I know of your nature, but I hope it is the same nature that could forgive my actions. The intent was well-meaning, if misguided.
Signed,
Elizabeth Bennet.
