The spring term for the community college couldn't have started early enough. The nightmare of what happened back was still fresh, and having to distract herself with books and lectures proved a welcome respite from her grief. She had no actual 'major' selected, but instead it had been advised to just take 'core classes'. Still, it was pleasant to be addressed like a person, and not as incapable of logic as a man might be.
She had no class that day, and work wasn't for another hour or so, but she couldn't bear to be inside more than she should. The weather was just starting to warm a little, so even if it was still cold, it was bearable, and she did enjoy walking in the park, especially now that she didn't have to fear attacks from zombies.
Madison Valley park wasn't nearly as nice as the parks in Bath or even Pemberly, but it sufficed, especially with the weather being as calm as it was. She'd managed a brisk fifteen minutes before she witness another person just a head of her, someone she thought she recognized (by face if not name).
"Good afternoon," She called out. "Would you mind if I walked with you?"
Perhaps she wasn't in a sociable mood, but to talk with people on occasion, she still missed that.
