It might not be Montana in the winter, and it's sure not Aspen Creek but after a few years, it's close enough that I don't feel some homesick for the winters there. I really don't miss the eight tons of snow, even if it is fun to go hunt in. But right now, already, I don't think I could ask for a better Christmas. And we're not even close to Christmas yet. That's just how
good things are going this month.
My side project is pretty much up and running, the shop's giving me a nice raise, other things are going well, and I honestly am happier than ever. I can't really think of anything else that would make me any happier overall. At work, I'd like the engine I'm working on to behave and actually listen to me, but I'm not my old boss and I can't actually make metal do what I want with magic, so I just have to beat on it until it works.
