Madison Valley Role Play

August.

I've spent the last of July buried with my head in books and I couldn't be happier to do so. I am grateful for the chance to read some things I have missed, and there's no better way to spend an evening than curled up with a glass of wine and a book.

I am thinking of taking a trip, too. It could be kind of nice to get a change of scenery for a few days.

Who wants to go with me? I don't want to go by myself, and I think I'd have far more fun with someone else?

You know, that money that they give you when you first arrive? It goes pretty fast. Faster than I expected it. I guess the value of things has definitely gone up over the last twenty or so years.

So, since I didn't wake up from this nightmare strange dream, what should I be looking for? I had just started my first year at the University of St. George. I'm guessing my transcripts didn't come with me, huh?

If I wasn't so poor from this honest living stuff, I'd take that trip to Hawaii I've always been dreaming off. Oh well.

I guess so much for the whole "trapped" thing, right? I mean if we can take trips out of here. I wonder if Central City-

What grade are you in?

I find that there seems to be no rational reason that suddenly people are allowed to travel. Has anyone ventured to attempt the use of the service? If you do, I have several inquiries about the sensation. Is it a type of teleportation? Or perhaps you do not actually leave - you merely think that you leave through some kind of delusion or artificial simulation.

Then I find I have more questions if you leave. What if you were to make the decision that you would prefer to be there instead of here? Is it an option to choose to be elsewhere? Let us say, for example, you choose to go to London. You enjoy your time there and decide to stay. Is that possible? Or does whatever take you immediately return you at the expiration of your time limit. And what if, instead of staying in London, you made the decision to go to Paris while you were in London - using your own funds. Does it allow you to leave the continent?

I find that this intellectual puzzle will probably not be solved though if one is interested in undertaking such experimentation with me, I would be intrigued.

Of course, that brings us back to the original question of what we are doing here and who has 'created' or implemented this... well no better word comes to mind than experiment. I would consider it being a large mass delusion of some sort, but then I would be able to sense that my mind was tampered with in such a manner. Though I can think of no one with skills that top mine. And the one who did... well, he no longer exists and this would not fulfill his desires and interests. And as none of us know each other outside of this location, a mass delusion seems unrealistic.

Perhaps all this merely boils down to my own interest in puzzles that cannot truly be solved.

I suppose it also means I should consider doing something more active instead of sitting here allowing my mind to wander down paths that have no end.

Tell me, Madison Valley residents, how many of you are happier here than at home?

Been around for a long bloody time, but even after all these years I still find myself getting surprised. In some of the best sodding ways.

Getting hitched was...amazing. Even taking her last name as my own was one more delicious layer to the icing as well. Figured William Summers had a better ring to it then the alternative.

Now I've just got to figure out how to go about trying to deal with all this domestic bliss, and suss out how to make a proper go of being a good husband.

Hard to believe that school starts on Friday.

I can't believe I have two more years of some of these classes.

I am looking forward to seeing how schooling works here. My testing results made the proctors look as though they had smelled something horrible and rancid.

I think I either confused them or made them upset that they just aren't as smart as I am.

I am going with the latter of my observations.

I heard a rumor that some of the summer reading assignments are being waived because of everything that happened.

If that's true? I'm not going to be happy at all.
