Who: Mary Campbell and Mitchell What: Random run-in with each other When: Wednesday evening Where: On her way to Lou's Status: Match-up; Closed Rating; Lowish
Dean's sudden departure, while something that should always be expected given where they were, was still shocking to Mary. Granted, the two of them were not exactly close at this point, but that didn't change what Mary knew about everything, about him. He was her son, not yet from her place in the timeline, but he was her son and that still meant something to Mary even if it didn't quite mean the same for Dean. She still cared for him just as she cared about Sam and Adam. They were family and if there was one thing she'd always believed in throughout every bad moment and good in her life was that family was always important and always first. Friendship was important too, but Mary knew family was forever...no matter what.
That was why she was ditching work for the night and heading to Lou's for a few drinks. Dean leaving bothered Mary even if, perhaps to Dean himself, it should not have. She knew what Dean meant to Sam and that was also part of everything. She knew Sam needed his brother; they relied on one another for strength and Mary felt bad for Sam. Losing Dean was a blow and a big one...especially after everything that had happened to them last month. Hands stuffed in the pockets of her jeans, Mary walked down one of the busier streets in Madison, careful to avoid the people coming home from work and simply wandering the town in general. She was so lost in through that she found herself almost running right into someone. In the last moment, thankfully, she caught herself. "Oh, excuse me," she said quickly. "I'm sorry. I was just lost in thought..."
