Only two weeks until my wedding!

I never thought I'd be the type to get caught up in this, or to care about making sure every detail's perfect, but I'm...really nervous. And not because of Sam, I don't have any doubts about marrying him. How could I? But it's just...I want everything to be perfect. This time here in Storybrooke, this is what we have, this is all we have, and I just want it to be right.

I'm not going to be some crazy bridezilla, but it's...scary.

Although I guess if everything goes completely crazy and everything gets messed up, it'll be its own sort of special memories, won't it?

When strange shit just doesn't seem strange anymore.

I remember a time in my life where the concept of adding both vanilla flavoring and cherry to cola kind of freaked me out. Now it's kinda like: oh, man, angels and demons exist? Yeah. Of course. Spells to make people be able to communicate with dogs? Psh. Duh. Whatever. I can look that up while I'm eating my Chex in the morning.

End up in Weirdsville Maine as opposed to Kansas in the space of less than a second without so much as blinking?

Right, so, maybe I'm thinking ahead, but I can't help but think that we're only a week or so from New Year's, too. And the beginning of a new year. ~~I can't believe it's almost 2014~~ So, what resolutions do people here have? What things about your current lives do you want to change? What things do you want to do better next year? And saying that you want to leave this place doesn't count - only include things you can actually do something about.

And also...shouldn't we have a New Year's Party? Christmas is for family, but New Year's is for getting together with friends.

So the community college here isn't bad, but I was thinking it might be really interesting if some of us from different worlds could get together for like...discussion groups. To learn about where everyone else comes from, to compare belief systems and the like. Nothing formal, of course, just maybe a meeting in the library every week. I think it would be great if we could all get to know each other a bit better, and I think we have a great deal to learn from each other.

Hey. So, things have been a bit strange since I got here and I've been a little bit of a shut-in because of it. ~~Finding out you're dead can do that to a person~~

But I'm Jessica Moore. You can call me Jessica or Jess, either one is fine. I'm from a little town outside of Sacramento, California, but I was studying college at Stanford when I arrived here. Oh. And it was 2005. I'm hoping to take classes while I'm here, and finish my degree in Comparative Religion. I was going to be a senior, and I didn't put in all that work for nothing.

So. I was just wondering, since there are so many people here from so many different places and words, I'd love to hear about the gods...deities...the faiths in each of your worlds. Who you pray too...if they're accessible, or sitting up in the clouds...if they're benevolent or fearful...anything.

So. I don't know if any of you-- other than Cas-- already noticed her arrive, but there's someone I want you all to meet. My girlfriend, Jessica.

Jess, meet Jo, Ellen, Charlie, and Castiel. I met all of them after Stanford: Jo and Ellen helped me and Dean out after our dad died a few years back. Charlie helped us stop a leviathan takeover not long before I got here, and she's worked with a couple more times since then, in my future at home. And I met Cas when he brought my brother back from the dead, because he's... actually, you know, I think I'll let him surprise you with that one.

I'm still catching Jess up on everything that's happened, so don't overwhelm her with information, but we've covered the basics. So. Say hello?
