I haven't figured out all the details yet but from what I can tell there are some... loyalty issues going on. I  Obviou Look, you A few weeks ago I got two people killed and nearly destroyed the world because my girlfriend got turned into a cyborg and I thought I could save her. I probably have PTSD and clinical depression, I lie constantly about my past,  I feel like we'd kind of be in the same boat, except that you're surrounded by people who know who you are and I'm not. I just... think things would have been a lot easier for me if I hadn't been completely alone. Or... would be easier. Because it's not exactly like all this shit goes away when the secrets come out.

Lots of people talking about missing things lately. It's sort of timely, since next week would have been my girlfriend's birthday. (Again - her actual 26th birthday was only a few months ago, for me. I thought I'd have longer before the 'firsts' started It's actually only been a few weeks) I feel very... removed, like everything happened in a dream. I don't know if that makes any sense.

Please tell me there's a decent coffee shop here. I cope better with supposedly magical portals when caffeinated. Not that I've ever encountered them before, but something familiar couldn't hurt.

There isn't enough alcohol in Storybrooke for this week.

I don't suppose anyone wants to go to prom with me.

On first impression this place seems completely insane and I'm fairly sure I don't have to describe all the reasons why. But I've just read backwards about two weeks on the network, and if I sort of look past everything else, it's actually very, very normal. It's a bit comforting, really, like the biggest changes to get used to will be not living in a city and having to meet new people instead of... well. (I'm about 95% certain I will change my mind as soon as I'm actually confronted, in person, with my eyes, by magic or superheroes or something, instead of just reading about them. Also I'm trying to mentally revise my categorisation of various books and things to "documentary" and I think it's a bit of a work in progress.)

At least I might almost have a job, fingers crossed, will find out soon. Incidentally a lot of people are talking about getting pets for a place where you can randomly disappear without warning. Which is probably another thing to try to get my head around. Seems like I can either plan for the long term just in case or just... exist, and I'm not sure how to weigh up the pros and cons for either.

Today is my birthday.  If I were home, I'd be turning twenty-two- yet, by the calendar here, I should only be fourteen.  [...]  Needless to say, I'm still counting by the calendar back home.  I've no desire to return to my teenage years.  Time-shifting magic is [...] certainly something that takes getting used to.

I wish I knew how the portals worked. If you get sent home and you die, do you get sent back anyway? I know that injuries you get in your world come with you but what about death?

I just feel like this is something I might need to know.

So this is.... nice? I assume, having never actually been to America before. Seen it on tv, obviously, but that all tends to be cities, which this clearly is not. (Not that I think tv is in any way accurate. I think half of those cities are actually Canadian, for starters, and also no one ever says goodbye before hanging up the phone, which is a bit rude.) Very quaint though, 7/10. Good small town vibe without being overly urban legend creepy.

Well, someone explained what's going on and I must say it's quite a bit odder than most of the things I've dealt with before. Which is really saying a lot.

My name is John Smith -- The Doctor -- Whatever -- and I am terribly sorry about my lack of courtesy and introduction to a lot of you, but I have been very busy attempting to examine a lot of the data among the people from my world, in an attempt to extrapolate some form of theory as to how it is we all ended up -- Yes, yes, I know, portals, magic, temporal distortions, Einstein-Rose -- wormhole -- whatevers -- lots of theories, not enough data to draw up a conclusion. That being said, I have a request.

I know many of you are busying yourselves trying to figure out how to adapt -- which makes sense, you're humans, you're brilliant, it's what you do -- right, yes, moving on -- but, among those of you who can spare the time, are there any among you who would be willing to volunteer for a bit of testing? It's all perfectly harmless I assure you -- really, could probably do most of it with my eyes and a bit of questions -- but what I really need is a collected series of data that might provide clues to the causal connectivity of events that led us all to be here through the, uh, portals -- wormholes -- whatever bits of understanding you'd like to call them.

Again, I'm only looking for volunteers. If you're unwilling or disinterested -- which, really, who can blame some of you -- have a lot of you eaten the food here yet? -- it's positively Brilliant -- then there is absolutely no pressure to feel like there's any need, whatsoever, to get involved. I'm just trying to find some answers and, while I respect the Mayor and folk of this wonderful town, I'm not quite so willing to accept this 'no way back theory' not just yet.

After all, nothing's impossible.
