Okay, this might sound a little weird, but bear with me. I've been thinking lately about how things have changed a lot for me since I got here. I mean, my Imam is now my guardian and he's way cooler than I ever thought he could be. Still a total dork, but cool, too. And I think living with him has helped me get a better handle on my faith and how I want to live my faith every day. You guys have all been pretty great about letting me figure that out too. I mean, no one cares that I leave school during study hall for afternoon prayers and no one minds that some days I want to wear a hijab and some days I don't. Everyone's even pretty great about helping me through fasting and stuff, too.

SO I guess my question is...has anyone else felt like things have changed for them since being here? Good or bad but I'm hoping most of it is good. Apparently this is what happens when I can't sleep.

I’m really not in the mood for some psycho ‘Under the Dome’ thing.

I came across a very strange thing today and find that I'm still not entirely sure what ensued.

I was approached by a young lady who appeared frantic and possibly at her wit's end. Oddly enough, she resembled me down to the clothing she wore. Admittedly, it's not a piece of attire I wear often if at all.

An icy gown isn't exactly what you would call practical.

She took hold of my hand and asked if I could please tell her where it is that I get my hair done among other questions. She explained that she has a Princess Party scheduled for this coming weekend and her "Elsa wig" was recently destroyed at a party she was coming from.

I did my best to help her, but I doubt it was the information she was looking for.

These parties are quite elaborate. There was one party in which two young ladies dressed as myself and Anna, and the home had been decorated to resemble the palace.

It's [...] interesting to say the least.

They do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

After the busy weekend I had at work, I could go for a littler retail therapy of my own. Strange as that sounds.

I have not felt such a surge of hope and happiness in quite some time. This place may be strange at times, but it is my second chance and I am grateful for it more than ever now.

It's weird, not being able to remember how you died.

I mean, the first time, when I was killed by a vampire, I remember every bit of that. But the second time? I don't remember anything. I only know I was dead because I arrived here in a pile of ash. So something had to have happened, but I can't remember anything.

And oh yeah, it's mother's day.

I don't know anything about my mother. Don't know why she gave me up or anything. I don't know if it would be better to know or not. I've always wondered about her, you know, like who she is and all that.
