So, Pepper and I have been working really hard but I think enough is in place that we can finally tell everyone! ~~Fortunately I didn't miss~~

On December 1st, we're hosting a Winter Festival! I had originally wanted Fall but it was way too late to start planning and besides, WINTER! And considering the weather here, we might even get snow.

We're gonna have sleigh rides down Main Street and everyone there is going to decorate. A lot of the local businesses pitched in and we have raffle prizes and I'm not 100% sure which, yet, but all the proceeds are going to go to charity. There's a hot cocoa bar and a singalong around a fire and possibly even a visit from everyone's favorite fat guy with toys.

I'd love to get everyone involved, half the fun is community after all. We'll need help decorating, some vendors, music, everything! And of course we'll rotate shifts so everyone still has time to enjoy it.

Also still accepting ideas for at least a week, but you know, we need time to put it all together!

I'd like to kind of get things as back to normal as possible. So Food Club is still happening this month. Next Saturday evening. Bruce, Natasha, are you guys still up for hosting? I can absolutely make other arrangements if we need to.

Everyone bring a dish or at least some kind of appetizer or dessert from Walmart. Bring one of those boxes of tacos from Taco Bell, I don't care, just bring something you'd love to share with others and come out.

So I think I'm taking my brother in as his guardian. But if any of you come over, he's really just a roommate in a smaller body, don't judge my parenting skills by the 13 year old drinking whiskey and black coffee. I went out for some tea and everything is called Pumpkin spice. I tried it and it's not bad, I just don't know why everything needs the flavor added to it. While I'm thinking about it, if anyone knows a place I could get some decent Oolong, I would appreciate the help.

Also, this Halloween thing is - um - special. Dressing up like spirits is a long-time tradition, I get that, but I've never seen whole shops dedicated to this sort of thing.

Okay, everyone! Saturday! Food Club! At the park!

...okay, I'll stop with the exclamation points now.

We'll meet at the park in the apparently comfortable but slightly frigid ice shelter provided by ~~ACTUAL DISNEY QUEEN~~ Elsa. If you can, try to bring something a little different than you did the last time so we can keep things fresh. It'll be way more fun that way, I think.

If we get good at this, we could even start doing themes, but let's not get carried away.

And those of you who didn't want to bring food last time but still wanted to come snack, we could always use plates, cups, and drinks. Feel free to bring some of those along!

Sooooooo the last Food Club (we really need a name, guys) went really really well. I'd love to do it again, BUT do we have any other volunteers willing to host? I came across a very strange thing today and find that I'm still not entirely sure what ensued.

I was approached by a young lady who appeared frantic and possibly at her wit's end. Oddly enough, she resembled me down to the clothing she wore. Admittedly, it's not a piece of attire I wear often if at all.

An icy gown isn't exactly what you would call practical.

She took hold of my hand and asked if I could please tell her where it is that I get my hair done among other questions. She explained that she has a Princess Party scheduled for this coming weekend and her "Elsa wig" was recently destroyed at a party she was coming from.

I did my best to help her, but I doubt it was the information she was looking for.

These parties are quite elaborate. There was one party in which two young ladies dressed as myself and Anna, and the home had been decorated to resemble the palace.

It's [...] interesting to say the least.

They do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

As the night where we say a formal goodbye to winter, and say hello to true spring, draws closer, I recall the many events of my past, and that of my gods. We reach the mid-point between the two solstices, and the land is ready for the sowing of crops.

We will have a bonfire on the 30th into the 1st, though I am sure there will be multiple Beltane celebrations, I wanted to have something for us. Beltane isn't quite ours, after all.
