This place is quite enjoyable. I have applied at the Arts and Crafts store for a job. I've never had a job before. Unless you count traveling with Hawke. But I didn't get paid. Though we did get money sometimes.

I'm quite excited about having the job though. I will make lots of pretty arts and crafts. Mostly for Fenris because he is so grumpy, I think he could use some cheering up.

If anyone else needs cheering up, I would be happy to help! I like cheering people up.

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Sarissa, and I've just joined Storybrooke General. I specialize in rehab nursing, but at the moment I've been assigned to the general pool.

I brought one of Granny's pies. It's in the staff room for anyone who wants a slice.

There is to much magic and agents of the devil here. It is uncomfortable. I am one for learning but magic, werewolves and vampires among whatever else there is here is completely unacceptable.

Okay now that the shininess of having all these fictional characters I love being around has worn off I have to say this town is boring as hell.

I have realized I'm going to miss Comic-Con! And the next meet up for Moondoor! I'm going to be dethroned just for not being there. This sucks guys.

If I ever wanted to know what Sunnydale would have been like if it wasn't on too of a bloody Hellmouth, I know now. It would have been just as bloody boring as it is here. I haven't hit anything in weeks.

I have been given a job. It is not what I expected, but it is not taxing. And it smells better than most places I have spent time in before this town. They do not allow weapons behind the counter, though. They would never have survived a week without having their inventory and profits robbed, in Kirkwall.

So no kingdom to rule. No Blight to stop. No chantry board to get jobs off of. What's a misplaced king to do with his time and to earn his supper.

Eames came home the other day with this. His name is George, he is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, apparently.

Every time I think I've discovered everything this world has to surprise me with, it pulls out something new. Whatever this "reality TV" is, it is truly strange. And engrossing.

I want to get Isabela something to commemorate her opening a legitimate mostly-legal business. Ideas? It's not going to be naked people, before you suggest that.

Tomorrow will be what you all refer to as a Friday, which means you'll be let out of work in preparation for a relaxing weekend.

Conveniently enough, tomorrow night is also the grand opening of the new tavern, The Hanged Man. Call it destiny, convenience, or excellent planning, it doesn't matter. Come and join us for a night of debauchery frivolity and good company!

I appear to have run out of clothing. Not that I had much to begin with.

Otherwise I'll just walk around naked. While I don't find that an issue, I know some more prudish people in this place do and I find dealing with the city guard tiresome. So to avoid a scene, would anyone be kind enough to spare me some clothing until I can clean what I do have?

The downside to visiting the animal shelter is that there are PUPPIES and they are ridiculously CUTE. It shouldn't really be a big surprise that Caroline and I came home with a dog. Pics to come later. Right now, I have to go keep him from eating Caroline's shoes.

I miss my dog. I'm sure my brother is taking fine care of him, because if he's not, I'm going to find a way to cross back into my universe and throttle him. But still...

The sorts of dogs they have here are all very charming and affectionate, yes, and some of them even seem moderately clever. But I don't think they quite compare.

My name is John Smith -- The Doctor -- Whatever -- and I am terribly sorry about my lack of courtesy and introduction to a lot of you, but I have been very busy attempting to examine a lot of the data among the people from my world, in an attempt to extrapolate some form of theory as to how it is we all ended up -- Yes, yes, I know, portals, magic, temporal distortions, Einstein-Rose -- wormhole -- whatevers -- lots of theories, not enough data to draw up a conclusion. That being said, I have a request.

I know many of you are busying yourselves trying to figure out how to adapt -- which makes sense, you're humans, you're brilliant, it's what you do -- right, yes, moving on -- but, among those of you who can spare the time, are there any among you who would be willing to volunteer for a bit of testing? It's all perfectly harmless I assure you -- really, could probably do most of it with my eyes and a bit of questions -- but what I really need is a collected series of data that might provide clues to the causal connectivity of events that led us all to be here through the, uh, portals -- wormholes -- whatever bits of understanding you'd like to call them.

Again, I'm only looking for volunteers. If you're unwilling or disinterested -- which, really, who can blame some of you -- have a lot of you eaten the food here yet? -- it's positively Brilliant -- then there is absolutely no pressure to feel like there's any need, whatsoever, to get involved. I'm just trying to find some answers and, while I respect the Mayor and folk of this wonderful town, I'm not quite so willing to accept this 'no way back theory' not just yet.

The lovely Isabela and I have decided to throw in together, and we shall be opening a proper tavern down on the docks. So don't be alarm at the remodeling going on at one of the buildings down there. We're just doing our part to better the town as a whole.

That said, in all my years of studying magic, I have never seen anything quite like this.

Isn't this town starting to burst at its seams? The problem with too many bodies in too little space is that they all use up things. You start to run out of food or whiskey and what choice do you have but to use magic to bring in more? And then the magic goes wrong. Maybe it even brings in more people. And then all the things are gone, and just the people left.

Odd jobs undertaken, foes slain, packages delivered, any attempts to reopen whatever sent all these people here? Point me at a thing before real, genuine boredom sets in. I'm like a Mabari. If I don't have a task, I start chewing on people's slippers and hiding things you really need.

I'm beginning to get real sick and bloody tired of sodding magic bouncing me around from here to there. First that shiny bauble somehow got me to LA from Sunnydale then whatever this was that brought me here. And who names a town Storybrooke? Didn't think there was anything worst than Sunnydale. Anyone know where a guy can get some pig's blood around here?

How are we all speaking and writing in the same language? We can't all be the same, considering how different half the realities or origins or whatever you want to call them are. So is part of the portal of magic making us see and hear it all as the same language, or is it actually making us speak and write the same? Is it altering perception or actually changing?

Because I still can't read Chinese, but I can read people who speak imaginary (to people where I'm from) languages from places with dragons so it gives me a headache trying to figure it out.

This place has magic, and these little talky boxes which I have been assured are not magical, many times over. You also have remarkable plumbing, and if that's not magical it's at least miraculous. There seem to be a crowd of other mages, too.

But I haven't seen a single grumpy mage hunter in a skirt. Do you have Templars in the land of Storybrooke?

You know, I'd like to say this is the first time I woke up in a strange town I couldn't leave, surrounded by dwarves, but I'd be lying.

Though the magic is relatively new. And I like that they welcome you with money and electronics.

Right. So things worth noting right now.

1. I'm in the States. I'm the state of Maine, in a town called Storybrooke, to be precise.
   
2. I've been transported here by a magical portal of sorts. Apparently, the magic here is different from what I'm used to.
   
3. I shall need to find a job, since I'm going to be here for awhile, and am going to have to provide for myself.
   
4. Magic exists here, so there's no need in hiding that I'm a witch.

Right, then. Now that I've gotten those things out of the way, I may as well introduce myself. My name is Hermione Granger. I'm eighteen years of age, and I've just graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, which where I come from, is a school in the Untied Kingdom where young witches and wizards go to harness their abilities and become successful members of magical society afterward. I'm a Muggle-born, which means that neither of my parents have any magical blood in them whatsoever, so I am also well-versed in somethings that wizards that haven't grown up around Muggles or have never taken a Muggle studies class aren't, such as how to use a telephone, or operate a car.

I was top in my class at Hogwarts. I'm very good all manners of spells, translating ancient ruins, and brewing potions. I'm also very organized, have excellent typing skills, and good with numbers.
