We'll be having a spring open house at the library this week. There will be extra books for sale to raise money and there will also be snacks. In addition, there will be applications for anyone interested in jobs here. Everyone is more than welcome to come.

I've been told there are some people in town who are ~~afrai~~ wary of librarians. I promise that I don't mean anyone any harm. I just really love books and want to encourage everyone to appreciate them. I hope we'll see some people there this weekend.

The stories don't really get anything right, but if anyone has an easy line on mice that sew, they can come and patch my clothes, because my fingers are all needle pricks already, and I only barely started.

I miss having everything on the internet. It was strange seeing people from fictional worlds show up, but I liked being able to look it up so I didn't ask anyone uncomfortable things about their lives. Sometimes things pop out of my mouth before I think them through.

Walking home tonight, after my shift, I almost slipped on a patch of ice a block away from my apartment. If I'd slipped I most likely would have fallen on my arse and with my luck I probably would have broken my tailbone. Imagine working at the hospital then being brought into the ER not even twenty minutes later. I'm just glad I managed not to fall.

I was given this... thing by someone ~~and I'm not entirely sure why the letters on it are scrambled~~ and they told me where I live now, but I'm pretty sure I'm not... where I was meant to end up. Not that I suppose I really should complain, all things considered. I just don't think I've ever heard of an afterlife quite like this. ~~Suppose I should be glad there aren't little red things with pitchforks.~~

I'm surprisingly still soaked to the bone and I haven't quite found the flat I'm supposed to be staying at. I wonder if you can still do magic when you're dead, but my wand didn't follow me here. I suppose it wouldn't through, would it?

I think I was just like, in a cookie coma or something dudes. It TOTALLY wasn't my fault though. People just kept like, giving bags of cookies to me and stuff, so like what was I supposed to do y'know? I had no choice but to eat them all and hide from that crazy little elf thing. It like, kept surprising me and stuff, being a festively secretive. Elves are terrifying. I mean... IT NEVER BLINKED!!!

But I'm pretty sure I've got like this whole holiday thing down. So check it:

Christmas = totally some Jesus dudes birthday but like, people give presents to each other, which is like seriously not cool and unfair to Jesus. I mean.. it's his birthday. I'd be totally bummed if on my birthday I was the only one NOT getting presents.

New Year's = It's, y'know, a new year and stuff. OH! And at midnight everybody starts kissing strangers. Which honestly guys, is like the best. holiday. ever. created.
