In the time Andrel was here, he'd already made a few friends. He was missing Skyrim but perhaps with these people he'd feel less homesick. The one named Amberle was the one of the first people to greet him. He could tell from her picture that she was an elf but he wasn't sure if she had different races of elves like he did. Whatever she was, she was certainly pleasant and reminded him most of the Bosmer he'd dealt with - the wood elves of Valenwood. The Bosmer seemed to always be the friendliest in comparison to their cousins- the Altmer, the Dunmer, and the Orsimer.
He had more or less settled into his little apartment now, but he felt it was missing some more personal touches. The walls were all white and bland - back home his walls were usually decorated with several filled bookshelves (not even necessarily with books), hanging racks for swords he acquired in his travels but didn't want to carry with him, wall sconces with candles, and the occasional mounted bear's head or mudcrab. Over time he would buy or make things to make it seem nicer - perhaps go hunting in the woods and take out a deer that wasn't a shifter in disguise and make a nice rug for his living room floor. Living rooms in Skyrim were much different than the one he had now. There weren't any comfortable couches, but there were plenty of small tables and benches for entertaining guests. Working hard was a common practice in Skyrim - most people worked from sunrise to sundown if they could help it, then came in to eat and go to bed. Occasionally, one might throw a small party for friends and offer mead and baked goods with fruit, but it wasn't very often. He would have to try hosting something like that with a few friends in the near future to see how it went.
He was glad the Divines had blessed him with such adaptability, or he might have gone mad by now. His coping mechanism for dealing with the stress of being pulled into this new world was reciting su'um ahrk morah in his head until his nerves were calmed. The Way of the Voice didn't necessarily have to deal with keeping his sossedov in check - it was surprisingly comforting in other ways as well.
Andrel was sure he was ready now to socialize more in person, now that he'd settled in and come to terms with everything. Picking up his device, he shot a message to Eretria and Amberle.
