So, the bad news is that I had multiple snowmen try to kick my ass. (Snowball to the back of the head, ow, by the way.)

Good news is, I did not actually get my ass kicked. Bunch of good bruises and a sprained wrist, but not bad. Got worse just surviving back home. However, there are now so many of the damn things out there that I'm just hunkering down at my boss's place until I can go home.

Mostly because I have no incentive to play "get through the monsters" this time.

I'm pretty sure that my previous nanny has a real job now, so I'm looking for a babysitter.

I promise that the job interview isn't going to be like the last one. Though, I'm pretty sure that a few people in town wouldn't have an issue with it, I think one of my roommates might.

So. Sitter for a 3 year old. Right now, it's just a couple hours a week when I'm at the range. It will change when I get back to work.

I blinked and there's like, 409 new people here.

So I guess I'm wondering if anyone would still be interested in Food Club? Once a month, everyone bring a dish to share, it's basically a potluck but fancier.

I'd need someone to offer to host (usually one of our homeowners takes the lead on that one) and I'll help with set up and clean up and then everyone can bring food and socialize and meet people. If there's still enough interest, we could probably do it Saturday. Maybe even give it a St. Paddy's theme, considering.

Just letting you know our family has gotten a little bigger. Kristof had a ward years ago named Lilly. Last night, she returned, and there was no way we weren't going to take her in. She's about six-years-old and has dealt with trauma in her life. She's probably not ready for visits just yet, but I wanted you all to be aware of what's going on.

We're eventually going to be looking for a new home with more rooms, but for now, we're making it work.

The sunsets and sunrises here are simply horrible.

oh. um. that means they're wonderful. Sorry, having to remember people don't describe things like they do back home is hard.

I am trying to figure out how to survive here, the food is not the same and while I can get some of what is normal at the various shops, I think I have to adapt enough. But it's hard when everyone stares at you when you walk into a shop.

I've scared two workers - I don't mean to. Normally I would be happy to scare you but it's not Halloween and I'm just trying to settle in.
