WHO: Han Solo and OPEN WHAT: Trying to get out of this place WHEN: Monday, early afternoon WHERE: Near the boundary of the dome WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Han was determined to get out of here. So determined, in fact, that he was blatantly ignoring the warnings from everyone else that getting through the dome and to freedom beyond was absolutely impossible. He'd convinced himself that sure, maybe other people had tried and failed, but he wouldn't. Because he didn't fail.
He'd hotwired one of those vehicles that looked kind of like speeders that didn't leave the ground. They were slow, sure, but if you pushed them to their limits, he believed it would be strong enough to face whatever this barrier had to offer. Strapping himself in, he grinned in excitement as he revved up the car and finally sent it hurtling towards the nearly invisible barrier. Faster and faster the car went, and his heart pounded in anticipation of finally getting out of this place.
Unfortunately, that wasn't what happened.
As the car reached the barrier, the impact forces threw Han forward. Thankfully, he was buckled in and didn't go through the windshield, but the whole car eventually was thrown back with the same force with which it hit, slamming it into a tree a couple hundred yards behind them with extreme force.
All was quiet for a moment. When Han opened his eyes and looked around him, he didn't feel anything at first. He unbuckled his seat-belt and managed to pull his way out of the wreckage, collapsing on the the ground, staring up at the sky. He was alive, but he could already tell that he wasn't uninjured. Various pains were starting to make themselves felt and he groaned in dismay.
"Hell," he mumbled. "That was stupid."
Maybe he'd been a bit slow to learn that fact, but he'd learned it nonetheless.
