Bellamy has strung lights along the path that leads to a place in the woods where he's decorated a bunch of trees. In the middle, in a clearing, is a large bonfire - the only place in the area not covered in snow. Bellamy's not much of a party guy, but there's a table with some drinks - hot chocolate, coffee, tea, hot cider, and some cookies and chips from the store. The fire will be going all night, so people are welcome to stay as long as they like.

It turns out that Nina is a mutant like myself and has already manifested her powers. It is unusual for them to do so but her ability is to communicate with animals. She would like to have a pet but I told her we would have to ask how everyone in the house felt about it first.

I already put my foot down about a laser puppy when she wanted Star to make her one and please no one mention the animal shelter.

This was a rather taboo topic in my time, though I’ve found that it is much less so in this one. Therefore, I’d like to ask your opinions of breastfeeding and whether or not you have done it with your child.

With George, I was so distraught over my husband’s death that he and I were not able to bond properly enough for breastfeeding. The nurse bottlefed him. I would like to try to breastfeed Abigail because I have heard that it is good for the child, though I would like to hear about the experiences of others before I make a decision.

The street has been closed off for the music festival. People have brought their blankets and claimed prime places by the stage. It's a lovely fall day, the weather's cool but not cold, and there's a lot of sunshine to make things that much more pleasant. Beth and her helpers have decorated the stage and the area around it with pumpkins and scarecrows and and autumn harvest theme. Food trucks line the street selling every conceivable cuisine.

If you haven't yet signed up to perform, you still can. The music will start at noon and will go until Midnight, come find a place and enjoy a beautiful day of music by the river!

There is a portal to my home, Themyscira, located in the park, as I accidentally posted publicly about this morning. The Island Nation is small and comprised only of women, who have been on Themyscira for three thousand of Man's years to guard the gates of Tartarus.

In honor of my return home, Queen Hippolyta has allowed the other refugees in Madison to cross into Themyscira for however long we are able. She has also announced an exhibition to take place over the next four days ~~because we are hopeful~~ in the four main skills Amazons are trained in: Archery, Equestrian, Hand to Hand, and Swordsmanship. Come through the portal and make your way to the coliseum by noon and you will be able to participate.

Also of note, Man is not allowed to step foot on the island and it appears whatever magic has allowed this portal will also turn any male into female for the duration of their time in Themyscira. In addition, children are a rarity on Themyscira and there are many who would wish to meet the children of the refugees here.

Finch has rented a very nice shelter area at the park. There's plenty of room for eating and a playground for the children when they get bored. She's brought hamburgers and hotdogs for all, but hopefully everyone else will bring a dish as well. She's looking forward to the gathering, and has been ever since she read about family reunions in the newspaper. They're not a family, exactly, but in a lot of ways, they're close enough.

Aurie is growing like a weed. She's walking and talking and I feel like I'm barely keeping up with her.

If any of the other parents of small children are interested, I'd like to have a playdate for her with other young ones. She's 16 months, and she spends all her time around adults.
