It seems strange, feeling obliged to celebrate a holiday that is rather local then one world wide. Most of the major celebrations like Christmas, Easter and even Halloween have some form of tradition and ties to other countries, but not Thanksgiving.
Not that I am complaining about a chance for a dinner party, but compared to Halloween and Christmas, it seems such a...I think the term is 'blip on a radar'.
The good news, a few days off from classes. Something extra to be thankful for.
