I just spent a good portion of the grand they gave me when I got here on decorations. Including a real Douglas Fir 7' tree, white lights, ornaments of red and gold, a star for the top and a bunch of other things. While I wait to hear about the application I put in for employment I figure I'll decorate.

I truly do enjoy this weather. I realize I am in the minority, but I enjoy a good fireplace, sweaters and coats. Coupled with the holidays it really is quite cozy.

It's still kind of weird to not be decorating with alien technology still but I can deal with it. I love the smell of a fresh cut pine tree.

I don't want any part of the 'Christmas Season'. My daughter is too little to understand, to even care about presents. We are not celebrating anything this year, and if I stay home and don't go anywhere all month, it's because I don't want to hear Christmas music, or see people spreading holiday cheer or whatever you call it. I want to be left alone.
