Hidey ho, good citizens of Madison Valley! We had an interesting time of it at the shelter over Halloween. Black cats are a target at that time, and this little lady was no exception. She was found stuffed into a jack o'lantern. The shelter has named her Thunder because her purr has to be heard to be believed! She's an older cat and typically one of the last to be adopted, but has a heart of gold.

I've never been a fan of October. Strigoi could easily blend in with the thousands of people pretending to be vampires this time of year.

Why anyone would want to pretend to be a Strigoi is beyond me. There's nothing romantic about them.

I can't wait to get back to the garage. I mean, I love spending way too much time with books and with Clay, but I've never gone this long without a wrench in my hand. To be fair, they're trying to make me stay in the front office.

Camping this month? Even camping out at my house which is a little... scary looking right now. I feel I should never let Jaime and Kate loose on a project, they get scarily focused. I'm actually kind of impressed.
