So far my favorite thing about winter is impromptu snowball fights instead of the usual training. So far, I'm still losing all the time, but it's been a change of pace I've been enjoying. And riding through the snow has been nice, too.

Work's slow, but that's okay, from Halloween through Christmas was a mad rush. It's kind of nice to be laid back for a bit until wedding season kicks into gear and I get busy again.

Seriously have had the most interesting week. I will take it over boring, though. The street has been closed off for the music festival. People have brought their blankets and claimed prime places by the stage. It's a lovely fall day, the weather's cool but not cold, and there's a lot of sunshine to make things that much more pleasant. Beth and her helpers have decorated the stage and the area around it with pumpkins and scarecrows and and autumn harvest theme. Food trucks line the street selling every conceivable cuisine.

If you haven't yet signed up to perform, you still can. The music will start at noon and will go until Midnight, come find a place and enjoy a beautiful day of music by the river!

Is there anyone who knows of or is skilled in creating swords. Much as I appreciate firearms and my dagger is always near, I do miss the chance at wielding a sword.

I'm able to pay of course.

Also, for having never celebrated halloween or even having seen pumpkins in real life, I think I did rather well for carving my first jack o' lantern.
