Is it just me, or is it really fucking cold? It's like I'm in Antarctica.

Do we have plans for Thanksgiving this year? Is a big meal something that's happening with all of us? I'm just checking in because I got an invite to join Kol's family, and I need to know how many meals I should be planning for here.

Is it normal for it to be this cold here?

It's unseasonably cold today. Perhaps you should come over and keep me warm. Or vice versa.

I have no family here, and no significant other(s) either. And I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

So. I'm hosting an Orphan Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday afternoon. Anyone and everyone who has no other holiday plans is welcome to attend. I'll provide turkey, ham, stuffings, a variety of pies, and lots of booze (also iced tea and other non-alcoholic beverages). All I ask of my potential guests is:

1. RSVP to this post so I know how many people to prepare for.
2. Bring a side dish
3. If you show up before 2 pm, I'll put you work.

Don't be shy. I don't care if we've never met, or never even corresponded. You're welcome if you want to show up.

Not sure if you already have plans or not, but if not, you're welcomed to come over for Thanksgiving. Bring anything you want or whoever even if it's someone with no place to go for the holidays. Just give Allison or I a heads up so we can make sure to have room.

From all the reading I've been doing it seems like Thanksgiving is a bit like Chuseok, which I missed out on this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how true that is, and experiencing my first Thanksgiving. Even if there is some questionable parts about the holiday and I can't even really eat the food. I may try and see what happens.

Hey! Fun idea! If you're not doing anything on Thursday you should come over to Allison's house for food and festivities. One cannot truly appreciate the Thanksgiving spirit of family and togetherness if they haven't experienced a Hargreeves turkey day.
