So tomorrow's my 27th birthday. It's a little -- okay, a lot -- surreal to realize that I'm just a couple years off of thirty when I didn't even hit twenty back home.

Four weeks. 28 days. I suppose this is something of an anniversary. I've been here four weeks now.

Think I'll celebrate with some wine.

Do we have lotus root here? Or can we get it?

Also, what do people normally do for their birthday? It seems that mine falls on one of your American holidays.
