In case you all have missed it, it's Easter time.

Favorite and least favorite candies, and why?

For me, favorite would be hollow chocolate bunnies. Least favorite, black licorice jelly beans.

This is a new and interesting sort of kidnapping.

The lovely woman who gifted me a card and this device showed me the basics on how to operate it... But she failed to mention how the card was remotely related to anything monetary.

No one likes to be the bearer of bad news, but I got a call from Chidi this morning that Brooke has been sent home. We're still going to go forward with her birthday party at Verdant tonight though.

Since the Western Easter is approaching, I thought I would share some of my culture. Russian Orthodox Easter is celebrated much later than Western as Russian Orthodox follows the Julian calendar, not the Gregorian.

Easter to us is more important than even Christmas. We have a lot of traditions, some of which have been adopted by other Christian cultures. The one that stands out to me the most are the Easter Eggs. There are a lot of traditions tied up with them, some of which you might recognize...such as the egg hunt. There were more reasons for hiding Easter Eggs than just a challenge for children to find them.

During the reign of my more notorious descendants, a jeweler was commissioned to create a gifts for the Tsarina. You will have heard of him. Peter Carl Fabergé. He created the most beautiful jeweled eggs ever known, and was commissioned every year.

After my homeland went through that quaint little coup, the eggs disappeared. Some never to be found again. I had made it my goal to locate as many as possible. And kill those that possessed them. There were fifty eggs that were made. Before I arrived here I had obtained only fifteen. My search continues once I return.

Today begins one of my favorite holidays from home. Today is Holika Dahan. It is celebrating a killing in order to save a devotee of Krishna...it gets complicated and is not as vile as it sounds. We celebrate at night with a bonfire.

But tomorrow! Tomorrow is my favorite, and I hope I can be forgiven for my eagerness in celebrating...and that my dear lady love can provide bail if I am arrested.

Holi is a day of celebration of love, life, Spring's return. Joy in all its many colors. Literally. Tomorrow is celebrated by throwing colors around either in powder or liquid form. It is meant to be playful and flirtatious. So, I will be armed with ground up chalk and squirt guns loaded with watercolors (all things that will wash out). I will have enough to share if anyone wishes to join me!

If I'd like to learn more about this world and its many cultures, what would be the best way to do so?
