I've been here just shy of seven years.

God, that's insane to say. I've done a lot in those years, experienced a lot, that I never would -- never will -- back home.

I'm twenty-six years old -- back home, I didn't even crack twenty. I have a good job and a college degree. I have a daughter I love more than anything. I was married to an amazing woman who did so much to help me become who I am today.

And, most importantly right now, I'm engaged to a woman I can't imagine my life without. Who loves my daughter like her own. Who's one of my best friends.
