Hey, and I hope this ok Sara. I stashed my wedding dress in the breakroom area. It's tucked back and out of the way, but just wanted you all to know.

I'm sad the fair went away.

So I was watching one of those home improvement shows last night, cause it was late and there was nothing else on, and I started thinking it would be nice to paint my room. Like a little splash of color can really brighten things up, you know. And then I started thinking, if I was going to paint my room, why not do the whole house? Maybe we could all go and pick out colors we like, because color is a very personal thing, you know? People have different tastes. They say neutrals are better for resale, but there's this nice shade of green I saw that looks really nice, like soothing but also modern.

And guys, there's so many things we could do! I have all these ideas, like bookcases and built-ins and things like that. It doesn't even look that hard. I'm pretty sure I could do it.

I'm off tonight, but starting tomorrow at the Red Pepper, I've been given permission to add a few Southern dishes to the menu, including Molasses-Brined Roasted Chicken and Cajun Spaghetti. And of course, a dessert - Pecan Pie. If I couldn't do up a good pecan pie my grandma would be rolling in her grave at me.

So the fair's gone. What's next?

Am I right in guessing it's probably going to be something shitty? I can't see this place giving us two fun things in a row.

So I'm really not sure which was more fun - the rides, or the food.

That was some of the most fattening, most delicious awesome food I've ever had in my life.

Although I think I'll pass on the fried turkey legs.

I'm finally old.

The idea of getting a dishwasher is so exciting I can barely stand it.

Alas, farewell, sweet youth.

As constricting as this town can sometimes be, it is a beautiful place.

I don't think I realized just how beautiful until I sat at the top of the Ferris Wheel with Tessa.

The river and the lights sparkled, and I realized how incredibly lucky I've been to be here like this, with the two people I love most.
