Eric had been here for far too long and more troubling, Sookie as well. The fact that he was not any closer to finding the person who brought them here was also troubling to him. There must be a reason as to why they were brought here and being held here against their will. As much as he wished that Sookie had not been abducted by forces unknown, he was glad at the same time. It meant that Sookie was out of danger back home and he could keep her safe. All Eric had to do was keep away from the members of the council as he had not showed up to be fingerprinted or to give his blood and he had no intention to do so.

After rising from his sleep, Eric got dressed and headed towards the streets of Madison. The temperature had turned cold but as he didn't feel the cold, it did not bother him. Since arriving here, Eric had been keeping in the habit of staying well fed. As an old vampire, Eric could go days between meals and yet here he was feeding every day, or every other day at most, in order to keep himself strong. He couldn't afford to be weak. Not when he had to keep Sookie safe.

As he wandered the streets, he kept to the shadows, hoping that he could find a quick meal.
