Mirta and I would like to invite everyone to a New Year's Eve costume party at the Lux. I know the last time we did costumes it all got a bit strange, but that was a Halloween thing, this will be totally different.

Everyone's welcome, we're a neutral place and open to anyone. And in case anyone was even thinking about it, violence is not tolerated at our club. Even if you could break past the wards, my gorgeous partner would actually enjoy getting the chance to kick some ass. So everyone would be completely safe there.

So, we hope to see as many of you down there as can make it. We got the club, the bar, the restaurant, so whatever your taste is, I'm pretty sure we can cater for it!

Fatherhood is very rewarding. No, really, it is. I know I look like I haven't slept in a month, but even so!

I do have a serious question though, hope there's someone out there with some ideas. It's turning out to not be such a great idea to have a baby living in an apartment over a busy nightclub/bar. We don't close until the early hours, obviously, and the noise is huge. So does anyone have any way to maybe soundproof the apartment so the music and crowds don't keep Ailyn awake all night?

So, I'm driving Mirta to the hospital right now. Eliot, could you be a lifesaver and make sure the bar runs okay tonight?

I'm currently being sworn at in at least two languages with a whole lot of glaring which I'm taking as a sign that Ailyn wasn't lying about when she's born.

And for the record, I am well aware of the fact that I'm a vile, evil man on whom she is going to inflict unimaginable pain for doing this to her. Apparently I have to point this out to people in case they thought I was nice or something.

I know you have a hundred and one things to do, but I have two things I need to take care of that got pushed back, what with everything that went on:

1. The baby shower. I'm not sure if there's going to be enough time now if we wait too long, so what about tomorrow afternoon? It's the afternoon, Monday's a less busy day, and if we're really lucky, nothing bad will happen in the next twenty-four hours?

2. Would Dean and I be able to have our wedding reception at the Lux?

So, somehow, it seems like myself and Mirta have become the new owners of the Lux due to the previous owners, ah, departing I think.

The rules of the place aren't changing. The Lux will remain a neutral, violence-free zone. And if the magical protections weren't enough to dissuade anyone from trying anything, remember my girlfriend is a Mandalorian. You'd only be embarrassing yourself.

Still, to commemorate our new ownership, tomorrow night, for one night only, drinks are on the house. So come on by, check the place out.

I watched people jump in and out of those pits for about four hours this morning and then I drove around trying to get the hell out of this city and back to Neptune thinking if I could just get Lily back here then the past four years could just be some bad dream and it wouldn't even matter that she was screwing around with Weevil or my Dad she would just be and things would be the way they were supposed to be. But it didn't work.

I wonder if the pits cure hangovers.
