I can say that I'm not quite sure what to make of all of this. I have been told that I was here before, but I don't remember any of that. We're all out of sync here. Some place like this simply shouldn't be possible. All too many butterflies.

Here's something to think on.

Originally developed to follow the emotional stages of patients diagnosed with terminal illness, the Kübler-Ross Model has been shown to be applicable to most forms of personal loss. Though I seriously doubt Elisabeth Kübler-Ross ever considered the removal of one from their own reality to being deposited in another, I think it's more than reasonable to consider this progression for our own circumstances.

Keep in mind that these steps do not necessarily come in the order noted above, nor are all steps experienced by all patients, though a person will always experience at least two.

The stages are:

1. Denial: Example - "I feel fine."; "This can't be happening, not to me!"
2. Anger: Example - "Why me? It's not fair!" "How can this happen, I hate this world!"
3. Bargaining: Example - "Just let me live to see my children graduate."; "I'll do anything, can't you stretch it out? A few more years." I will give my life savings if..."'
4. Depression: Example - "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "I'm going to die . . . What's the point?"
5. Acceptance: Example - "It's going to be okay."; "I can't fight it, I may as well prepare for it."

Welcome all, to the beginings of Operation Birthday Office.

As some of you already know, Nathan's birthday is coming up this Monday. I would have called for an in-person gathering, but all of us wandering off at the same time, no matter how clandestinely, this close to his birthday will have him generating suspicions before we even get things rolling.

I'm aware this is extremely short notice, but with all the particularly time-consuming madness that's been occurring the past few weeks, none of us have had the pause needed to mull over the normal things.

Obviously we'll all be getting him our own seperate gifts; but what Nathan needs more than and ontop of the usual birthday fanfare is an office. As the live-in lawyer, we need him to be able to find the door out of his room for all the piles of paperwork in the event we forget to pay our parking tickets or finally crack and engage in a duel over the last box of Mac and Cheese in the pantry and need him to look into the legal grounds of modern-day honorable stabbings. With only the weekend to work this through, it's not going to be anything singularly fancy; just a room to keep the lawyerly trappings, as well as paperwork and a place for getting it all done. The room designated is #3 on the second floor.

This is not a one or two person job; and one will get you twenty that this will mean much more coming from all of us. I've drawn up a pre-emptive list of jobs, but you're all welcome to reply to me for changes and ideas, as well as help eachother out in any way possible:

But, my work isn't finished.

Okay everyone, we need to pull together right now. Things are getting bad, and if the information we're putting together is right, then this is the Apocalypse. The one from the Bible.

As of now, the Hyperion is on lockdown, code Yellow. Only authorized comings and goings. Those of you who are regularly on patrol, check in every hour. No one is to go out on their own.

Second, the water has been shut off. Tap water, and showers. We've got toilets, but until we get some way to make sure the water is clean, that's all we've got. There's a lot of bottled water on hand, so that's what we'll be using for all drinking/cooking/coffee purposes. And believe me, I'm going to figure something out for the showers ASAP.

MOVING ON. APOCALYPSE. I need people reading up on Revelation. I want to know what we should be expecting. Horsemen, white, red, black, and pale. If there are horses in the city, I want to know. If there are people dressed in these colors, I want to know. To all you with computer and technology skills: That spill from the tanker a couple of weeks ago contaminated the water at the beach. I want details of what happened there. Crew manifests, video surveillence, whatever. I want to know what happened. Same for the water treatment plants lining the aqueducts. If those aren't working, I want to know, and I want to know why.

That's the only lead we've got right now. Water spills and contamination. The Horsemen are supposed to be Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. Some people are having issues with malnutrition - why? What's the cause?

Let's get talking, everyone. We need answers if we're going to stop this. Let's get everything out.

If someone offers to buy me a hook again I may get violent.
