Are we gonna need to start recruiting to cover losses to the patrol ranks? We can spread around the investigative load to everyone, but patrols are what people have come to expect we're doing, especially the bad guys.

Sarah's going to be out of commission for awhile. She's fine, just dealing with the backlash of some kind of magical ritual. As soon as she rests up a bit, I'm sure she'll be back to normal. In the mean time, I'd ask that you all come to me or Nathan if you have any questions Sarah would normally help you with.

Of course you can go to him with anything big...I'm trusting you all to use a little common sense in deciding what's important enough to take him away from his wife.

I was thinking that we should all go out tomorrow night for your birthday, SBC and ABC. I know that it's a day early, but I figured you'd both have your own plans on the actual day. It won't be anything major, of course, it's not as though waiters will be pinning sombreros on anyone's head or anything. I just thought it would be nice for us all to get together.

I can't decide which software program came from Hell first: Microsoft Outlook, Access, or Excel.

Stop acting like children fighting over the sandbox and giving eachother ridiculous nicknames. This is not West Side Story, and if these attitudes persist to be counter-constructive, I will start handing out flyers stating all further disputes will be settled in public dance-offs.

The world doesn't care who's who or from where when it comes down to needing saving, and ultimately neither should anyone else if they're equipped to do the job. Bickering about it isn't going to get anything done; it just wastes time and makes everyone look like a collection of arrogant asses.

And I mean that on both ends. So stop quibbling, and start finding ways to work together, or we're all going to end up paying for it.

Not sure who else has seen this, but there could be a new potential threat in town. I know, just when we need another one. not sure how big an issue she may be yet, but I got the heads up from someone else from her world that she may be more dangerous than she's letting on, so we may want to keep an eye on her for a while.

I'm going to be scarce the next day, maybe two, as I have something I need to see to, starting now. Any work I was slated for, the older Claire will cover. Because I know I didn't grant any wishes and I'm pretty sure I didn't do this. Welcome all, to the beginings of Operation Birthday Office.

As some of you already know, Nathan's birthday is coming up this Monday. I would have called for an in-person gathering, but all of us wandering off at the same time, no matter how clandestinely, this close to his birthday will have him generating suspicions before we even get things rolling.

I'm aware this is extremely short notice, but with all the particularly time-consuming madness that's been occurring the past few weeks, none of us have had the pause needed to mull over the normal things.

Obviously we'll all be getting him our own seperate gifts; but what Nathan needs more than and ontop of the usual birthday fanfare is an office. As the live-in lawyer, we need him to be able to find the door out of his room for all the piles of paperwork in the event we forget to pay our parking tickets or finally crack and engage in a duel over the last box of Mac and Cheese in the pantry and need him to look into the legal grounds of modern-day honorable stabbings. With only the weekend to work this through, it's not going to be anything singularly fancy; just a room to keep the lawyerly trappings, as well as paperwork and a place for getting it all done. The room designated is #3 on the second floor.

This is not a one or two person job; and one will get you twenty that this will mean much more coming from all of us. I've drawn up a pre-emptive list of jobs, but you're all welcome to reply to me for changes and ideas, as well as help eachother out in any way possible:

Tomorrow evening, provided nothing else blows in with a sinister weather pattern, I will be going dancing at the Lux before my feet decide they've had enough of me and head over there on their own. A fair number of us could certainly use the break, and the distraction, and so I am extending the invitation all around.

If the legal paperwork for the Hyperion and his own cases keeps going at this rate, he and Charlie are going to find themselves blockaded inside his room by piles of paperwork. I propose, if there's a room that can be spared, we convert it into a temporary office space. Nothing fancy; just a place for filing cabinets, law books, a desk--the hardware of lawyering, so to speak.

If not, I'm going to need to start looking elsewhere; and will still need all the spare hands I can get for us to whip something into working order by Monday.

I'm sure it's everywhere, but is the ground on fire where you are? Scads of nurses with insufficient amounts of clothing and facial features? Snow?
