Here's something to think on.

Originally developed to follow the emotional stages of patients diagnosed with terminal illness, the Kübler-Ross Model has been shown to be applicable to most forms of personal loss. Though I seriously doubt Elisabeth Kübler-Ross ever considered the removal of one from their own reality to being deposited in another, I think it's more than reasonable to consider this progression for our own circumstances.

Keep in mind that these steps do not necessarily come in the order noted above, nor are all steps experienced by all patients, though a person will always experience at least two.

The stages are:

1. Denial: Example - "I feel fine."; "This can't be happening, not to me!"
2. Anger: Example - "Why me? It's not fair!" "How can this happen, I hate this world!"
3. Bargaining: Example - "Just let me live to see my children graduate."; "I'll do anything, can't you stretch it out? A few more years." I will give my life savings if..."'
4. Depression: Example - "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "I'm going to die . . . What's the point?"
5. Acceptance: Example - "It's going to be okay."; "I can't fight it, I may as well prepare for it."

Ok, so we have some volunteers for Plan: Not Crazy Honest. (it's what I've decided to call it) Anya's done a basic locator spell and it looks like the vamps have split up into groups. One has taken over an abandoned club [ADDRESS] so that's where we're hitting. I want to meet at sunset, one block away from the club.

Three teams.

Jack, Clark and John, you're with Kennedy, I want you to concentrate on the right side.
Batman and Selene, I want you with Buffy front and center.
Sam, Lindsey, Hiro, you're with me, we'll take the left side.

Everyone is to follow the orders of their Slayer. This isn't an elitism thing, it's just because me B and Ken are so damn used to fighting together now, we know each other's moves and tactics. Remember, we're going to get Intell, not wipe the bastards out yet. I don't want to see anyone acting recklessly or I will personally kick their asses.

We're fighting blind right now and these guys are playing us. We have no idea what we're really dealing with. and that's what makes this dangerous.

I suggest an encounter, one on our terms. We meet them, see what they can do and then we get out. This won't be a fight to the death, it'll be purely recon.

I'm... taking some time. I need some time. But I have some plans. Ideas. I know we're not always on the same team, but I like to think we're on the same side. We need a way to work together. We can make some great things happen when we're all on the same page, and I'd like to keep that communication going strong.

Some kind of network, where we can keep one another updated on any new threats to the city, on any current plans, or any potential hazards. A way to coordinate our efforts without any one group dominating the line. We all have our specializations. I think we could use that to have one united front. Better than fighting for a place in line.

Or worse, sitting back and waiting for someone else to step up.

Just thoughts at the moment. The will to act is regrouping. I want to aim it in the right direction.

Welcome all, to the beginings of Operation Birthday Office.

As some of you already know, Nathan's birthday is coming up this Monday. I would have called for an in-person gathering, but all of us wandering off at the same time, no matter how clandestinely, this close to his birthday will have him generating suspicions before we even get things rolling.

I'm aware this is extremely short notice, but with all the particularly time-consuming madness that's been occurring the past few weeks, none of us have had the pause needed to mull over the normal things.

Obviously we'll all be getting him our own seperate gifts; but what Nathan needs more than and ontop of the usual birthday fanfare is an office. As the live-in lawyer, we need him to be able to find the door out of his room for all the piles of paperwork in the event we forget to pay our parking tickets or finally crack and engage in a duel over the last box of Mac and Cheese in the pantry and need him to look into the legal grounds of modern-day honorable stabbings. With only the weekend to work this through, it's not going to be anything singularly fancy; just a room to keep the lawyerly trappings, as well as paperwork and a place for getting it all done. The room designated is #3 on the second floor.

This is not a one or two person job; and one will get you twenty that this will mean much more coming from all of us. I've drawn up a pre-emptive list of jobs, but you're all welcome to reply to me for changes and ideas, as well as help eachother out in any way possible:

No. I cannot go back and change time. No, my younger self cannot either no matter how much he might think that he can. Time travel is complex and complicated and even the slightest error in judgment can have monumental consequences for the future. It is safer to leave things alone rather than attempt something and end up making things worse.

So as much as I would like to be able to say different, we are stuck with the reality that we have. So let's try and fix it in this time stream.
