I discovered firebreathers at a market downtown. Its oddly entertaining.

Showing them up was more entertaining. They were cheating you see. The methods used made everything of a lower temprature than it should be. That confused me, its hardly the proper respect due the art.

Is anyone else getting really annoyed by the whole "yay Dracula"ness of those vamps? I mean, I knew him back in the day and I really can't figure out how these vamps even got his powers in the first place.

I'm thinking maybe it's time we start thinking of other plans, like hitting them magically. What does anyone else think?

How much do I resent the fact that this city deemed it fit to put my house down by the beach? There is something so ridiculous about Shadowcrest sitting on sand and sun, of course maybe that's just because the sun doesn't exist in Gotham. I miss the clouds, doom, and gloom.

What else do I miss? Las Vegas and having a paid night job.

Frustration. Tell me it's not as common here as I'm beginning to feel it is. Feel free to lie to make me feel better or throw a job or two my way-- the heroic kind. As much as I need to eat, the need to blast something against a wall is about ten times stronger right now.

So maybe its because my mood isn't steller today, maybe its because I'm sick of this threat being bandied around every five seconds by people with 'phenomonal doom powers' who really obviously don't get what hell is, or maybe because lying is an art form and seeing how easy it was to break apart her little arguement made me sad inside, but this...does sound like a threat to send someone to hell right? In fact a really glaringly obvious one.

I remember high school. We had to sometimes do projects. Research a theory, test it out, revise, form a hypothesis, then apply it to see if it worked. And if you were lucky, you may have actually learned something. Well.. I may need some input. I'm working on a project right now. But unlike school, this is more serious. Lives are in the balance. Matter of life and death. If it turns out that my theory is right, but isn't needed, well.. it can be used for another similar situation down the road.

Any idea where some good haunts are? Like haunted houses or other such buildings, where restless ghosts stay? Like.. bad ghosts. The cruel, evil ones that caused great suffering in life. Alternatively, or separately, I'd like to know where to find a demon. I don't mean the ones that look like monsters or vampires. I'm looking for those classified as non-corporeal, without bodies, that need a living host to manifest and operate among us. Ryan, I'm looking at you. Or maybe I can track down Damien if no one else has any info. So if someone could just point me in the right direction to start looking, that would be great.

I think I'm quite tired of having dark hair. Time to try something new. Being fair-haired? Much better. I think I might try being a blonde again.

I don't know exactly what Isobel has threatened to do to people. I really don't. But if anyone touches the body that belongs to Lana Lang, you will have to deal with me. You don't want to see me when I'm pissed, I don't care what magic you have.

I was under the impression that Lana was friends with the lot of you, or had at least offered to help you out, I thought maybe some of you would actually care enough to try and help. Maybe I was wrong. My mistake. But don't anyone touch her. I don't know anything about magic, but I'll figure it out somehow.

Welcome back and thank you to those on this filter who helped defeat Lilith. I'm very grateful, as I'm sure the entire city is.

If you are on this filter, it means I, Lana Lang, trust you with my life and the lives of my makeshift family (or you are that makeshift family). I don't know every one of you personally, but some of you I trust by association, or in Batman's case reputation. Point is, there's a problem, and I need your help.

I was recently possessed by one of my ancestors, Countess Margerite Isobel Theroux. She lived in the 17th century and was burned at the stake as a witch. Sometime before her death, she managed to cast a spell, and by touching a symbol her tomb (which somehow made it to Los Angeles and my home), I now bear the same symbol on my back that allows her to take possession of my body.

I know this is the Kryptonian symbol for water (which is apparently considered "the element of transference"), but what I don't know is how to remove it. This has happened before, in my home world, and although it looks like a tattoo, there is no ink. It can't be removed by normal means. The last time it disappeared, Isobel killed a descendant of the woman who had her burned with a Kryptonian crystal. While it could be said that avenging her death put her spirit to rest, I believe it had more to do with the crystal than anything else. The problem is, that crystal doesn't exist here, and I have no other leads on how to remove this mark.

Please, if any of you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I don't want to hurt anyone.

So magic never changes, I guess. Maybe. Either way it's interesting, the similarities. I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that the Lilith here had managed to crawl her way out of Hell. She was still working on that back home. Then there's the whole Ruby Shard and Ruby-the-demon aspect and really, Kara, that just got funnier after each rum and coke. I should've stopped while I was ahead. But magic doesn't change, and I like that. It's comforting.

In the meantime, I need to make a living. It's back to street magic, I guess. Little Three Card Monty, anyone? I do birthdays too under great duress, sans fishnets. Zatanna Zatara, greatest magic act outside of Vegas (and sometimes in it), at your service.
