I've often wondered how different my life would be if I were human someone else.

One would think that humans would have enough compassion to take care of their children. Throwing a small child from a moving vehicle isn’t the smartest nor is it the boldest thing to do. I was almost reluctant to leave her in the care of this city’s law, for it doesn’t look as if they know much of anything that would be of true importance.

I find it so very amusing when men must resort to calling me a harlot simply because I won't bend to their ever whim. You know what I call that? Sad, and pathetic.

Okay.. this is really bad. General Zod is here. Zod! He's like me.. he can do everything I can. Except he's really evil. What I remember is, he was partially responsible for destroying a planet. Ohh, and he's trying to terrorize his son Chris.. and would tear up the whole city in his quest to find him.

But I'm confused. I thought Zod didn't have a body and needed to use a host, like he did with Lex. But here? He.. has a physical form. This makes him even more dangerous. He should not find out where I'm staying.. where Chris is staying. He can NOT learn about the Hyperion. If he even thinks there might be a chance Chris is here, he wouldn't hesitate to kill everyone and destroy the building.

So, yeah.. Zod being here in Los Angeles is very bad news. I think the fight against evil has just gotten more harsh for us. Luckily, there are a few people around that might be able to stand up to him. Especially if he finds out about the law firm and chooses to join them. This is very bad. Remember, he's a general; he will exploit any weakness he could find.

Whatever you do, don't ever give even the slightest clue to your location. Not even publicly to others.. he could be monitoring the boards. The other members of my family may have said it already, but it also goes for me as well: Zod will have to get through me before he has a chance to strike at you.

I'm doing an article for the paper about those of you who were thrown into this city without intentionally coming here yourselves. It mostly consists of how you've been surviving, what you plan on doing next, and what you think will happen in the future. There's also background stuff.

Well.. this is unexpected. I do not know who pulled me from my Hell, or how I came to be here. I do know that I will take advantage of this opportunity. My enemies will most certainly feel my wrath. I will have my revenge. Now, who can tell me how I got here?

Also, I am amazed at the amount of insects crawling all over this city. But that is what they do.. and there is one other thing that they will do in short time, it is something that I require of all subjects that I eventually take hold of. Kneel before Zod!!

All of you are to stay away from Lex Luthor, is that clear? The man obviously has an issue with sanity and if he has kryptonite in his possession, we can all assume that he will make good use of it. He will likely bait at you in an attempt to convince you to show your face. Do not take any of it. He wants that.

Kal-El, I know that he was once your friend, but that has come to pass and now you must accept him as your enemy. He can not be saved. His destiny has been set for him, just as you have had your destiny placed before you. Be alert. Ay compassion that you have left for him should be forgotten.

The boy, Christopher; keep him in line. He is young and we will need somebody to keep a close watch over him. Be certain he does not approach Luthor. I would prefer it if he refrained from speaking to him, but that is his decision. He is Zod’s son and all of us have something of our fathers in us. What he inherited may be small. We can only hope that it is nothing prominent. He is one of us and therefore our responsibility. He is yours in particular, Kal-El (both of you), for he may very well be your son someday.

Heh. The Monarch didn't know who he was messing with. It looks like his death sent me to another Earth. I wonder what is wrong with this one.
