Tomorrow we're holding a memorial service for Katara. It's going to take place at the Santa Monica Pier at nine in the morning. I've already spoken with some officials and after calling in some major favors they've agreed to temporarily close the area to the general public. Anyone who wants to be there is welcome to come and remember the brave young woman who gave her life to protect strangers who were in trouble.

Hi, I'm Elle, and I'm new around here.

I know that we're all supposed to be...paying our respects right now, but I need to get out. There's just too much angst in the air for me to handle. Not that there shouldn't be. But I'm generally a happy kinda guy and I hate feeling this way. I need to find a way to, you know, not to.

I think I'm in trouble.

I work for Lex Luthor. I mean, all he wanted for me to do was help him out with a bit of magic related stuff, yeah? But now he's asking me to do things that I don't want to do. Like erase peoples memories and use the bloody imperius curse to force them to do things. I told him that it was wrong and that I couldn't do it, and then he...er, he made a threat on my sisters life.

I don't know what to do.

Veronica is okay, I wish I could say more but I'm taking a big enough risk as it is telling you this.

So. Um. Anyone have any idea how disconcerting it is to be sharing a hotel room with two people and a dog and to wake up with only the dog there? And how even more disconcerting it is to do everything possible to contact said two individuals and find that it is like they never existed.
