Someone want to explain to me how I ended up here when I was in Blue Bay Harbor, like two seconds ago?

So this is kind of just a general poll I guess. Who was dead before they came here? Or who died and came back at some point?

This...this isn't right.

This city is in far too great of condition to possibly even be Los Angeles, despite the darkness and the rain. A good portion of the city was decimated during the Eve Wars and was never reconstructed, due to the intensity of earthquakes increasing with each year... Frankly, I'm surprised the area hasn't already toppled off into the Pacific Ocean.

All of that aside...how in the world did I get here? I don't recall coming to California, let alone the North American continent. I wasn't even on the planet. I was on L4 for a conference...

So, does anyone else think we should start setting up some sort of flood prevention? Sandbags, barriers, possibly start fashioning rafts? We really shouldn't just cross our fingers and hope for the best.

I keep expecting some guy to float past on a giant arc.

I suppose it could always be worse yeah? At least it's not snowing non stop...Still strange though...

This is really depressing. I don't even want to go outside.

Right then. I'm in Los Angeles. In 2005. Sadly that's not even an especially abnormal day in the office. The explosion must have caused something to happen with the Rift. I just hope the others are alright. Owen's body can't repair itself if he's been injured. And I would hate for something to happen to Tosh.

Tosh? Owen? Jack?

Fuck. As much fun as typing one handed is, anyone useful for popping a shoulder back in place?

I think cabin fever would be an understatement at this point in time.

Does anyone need any help solving an apparently unsolvable mystery? Missing people? Strange happenings? Or... does anyone want to do whatever it is people in L.A do to stop themselves going completely mental?

Is anyone any good with temporal mechanics? Or even just fixing things?

If anyone happens to have some spare dead vampire dust I'd love to run some tests on it. I would go collect some myself but my past encounters with vampires haven't gone so well.

I wish to go back into space. I have no reason to stay on Earth other than to help Mister Luthor and cheer up Miss Elisabeth. Because no one should make Miss Elisabeth sad except the people on the tell-me-vision. I want to go back to my space adventures. Who wants to have a space adventure with me? We can have plenty of Oreos and it will be so gay and dashing!

Mister Luthor, is it all right if my friend Miss Elisabeth comes around to watch movies on the tell-me-vision with me? We promise not to make a mess with the pop.. pop whatever that stuff she said she was bringing is.

Oh, you brilliant, brilliant humans!
Although the words 'rift in the fabric of the universe' is rather worrying, I still applaud the effort!

Well this is hardly fair. Twenty-first century Los Angeles is about as interesting as that petri dish turned out to be. Not even this petty squabble between good and evil holds very much interest, anymore.

I really don't see why I should be stuck in this primitive place just because my father made a few errors in judgment. They're his mistakes to learn from, not mine.

Never figured LA for anything supernatural.

So . . . hi.

Anyone care to explain what the hell is going on?

[info]kingofengland

blasted computer. the inventions here baffle me.

This is positively absurd! I do not understand the state of this...nation. How can a body function without a leader that was born into the position? How can you trust someone who did not grow up in the heart of the lands, immersed in the proper documentation and surrounded by those who govern, to ensure a country's safety? I hear this is supposedly the grandest, most powerful nation on Earth. Oh, how much the New World has changed...in my time, it was only barely discovered - a vast, savage place filled with heathens who hoarded their undeserving riches.

And what is this House of Windsor? Who is this Queen Elizabeth II? Since when did a woman hold the right to rule England suo jure? This makes no sense. England - at least my England - would never expect a female to rule. More importantly, what happened to my Dynasty? Why isn't there a Tudor sitting upon the English throne?

i failed. i didn't produce a legitimate male heir.

I just want to go home, now. I miss my tribe, my family. I feel like one of those puzzles you can get. And you lose a piece, a vital piece. The piece that makes up an eye or something and the person on the puzzle looks hollow without it. I feel like my home is that piece, and I'm a different piece. Like a piece that belongs to the outside that you keep desperately trying to stuff into the bit where the eye goes because hey, you want to finish off your puzzle. You didn't spend $29.95 just to have a missing eye and a piece on the outside that doesn't fit.

I'm rambling. And I know I'm probably not the only one with these similar thoughts. I just don't know who to talk to.

Reposting because I put it in the wrong journal

My room is so pretty!! But theres this thing that wont stop making all this horrid noise, like a shrill daft bird. I almost miss cottons parrot. When I attacked it, it stopped, but now some voice is coming from one end and a whole nother noise is coming from it now.

does anyone else have this problem in their room?

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Or should I say one who can turn into all those with a push of a great green button - only into some variant of an equivalent off-worlder. But, if I were to make a reference using the technical terms for those, I'm afraid the general population here wouldn't understand the gist of what I'm saying. It's so sad that I have to dumb myself down to get my point across to these pathetic peons...even towards those who can't read properly, such as those who are blind or have difficulty seeing when it is not completely dark out. Tsk tsk. Flawed and flawed some more. A pity not all creations come out so perfect like myself. The Borg have nothing on me, campers.

Yes, throw a fit and run wild. Up in arms about the fanged and furred getting along or not at all, and how the former makes one's skin craw to the point it's hardly standable. Ooo, goosebumps! Oh, boo-hoo! Don't cry me a river over such nonsense - save your tears, for they could save soemone's life, y'know. Just don't let yourself be hunted like the fanged, furred, and not-right. Men with guns who see what others don't could possibly take you down in a heartbeat. The siblings and those around them pack quite a punch. Almost as much of a punch as those who rule other worlds or hail from them, but beware the glow of the green rocks! I hear they can be very harmful when used right. Clever, clever bad man. Oh so clever.

Pity to those who should've gone and yet are still here. A burned you are to time, but a comfort to a lonely girl in need of a family member who isn't as cold or distant as those already here. Almost like it came straight from a novel - it sure is cheesy enough. Lucky for you two to have such a tale, though luckier for those who were born lucky. Like the one with pink horns and silver wings and the one spawned from two of the non-living. Some have lived many times before - at least part of them, but it's unfortunate the talent of before is not immediate for those of the now. Said the actress to the bishop. Too bad this ain't a TV show...wait, no. It would have poor ratings, even if things went ablaze, little miss the. Miss, miss, miss...missing, passing, jumping, LAND! Too bad you three are grounded, or so it seems. Going to scurry off? No one would notice. I would, but I wouldn't care. The Q care nothing for your kind, lords, nor your little pets.

Oh look at the moon! So full, so bright, so full of life despite the fact that she didn't join it. Unfortunate? Perhaps. Fortune favors those who didn't crash, along with those who did. What a parody. Even more of a parody for he who's heart is not locked in a box. Thump thump, thump thump-a. Don't forget the hat or the dirt - those are always important. Almost as important as the one who haunts your mind - no, not him and not you. The other. Wrong gender and different time, little one. As the one with no abilities what it's like to be the normal one among talent; calm down with your salts and herbs.

...you are all so dull. How I long for Jean-Luc's ship. He was far more entertaining.

To put this lightly, sleeping in the same bed as a..another male is really odd. Specifically when said male is your best friend and has a habit of kicking the blankets off of the bed.

With that said, I think I've dealt with my weird of the week.

Okay..maybe not.

Will? You out there somewhere? Are you all right?

Here it goes.

Oh, this is neat! Never thought I will be writing in a net work, on the net.

Happy late Christmas to all! Saw some of you celebrate it. It’s like a Christmas special.

What's a yule ball?

Anyway, I spend a great deal landing around this season. How come?

Anyway, new here in town, well, more new in many ways. So, any chance, who’s new in town? Any chance people come from another world? Dimension? Time? Hmm?
