Whatever this New Year's thing is, I think it's just an excuse for grown-ups to get together and act silly. There's a whole lot of shouting and dancing and drinking going on in the program on the 'vid. How come there en't something like that for people my age? Not the drinking thing, cause that's bad, but just an excuse to go out and yell in the streets or something?

Lots of water, but the vid is 2D. Even we had a holovid. Sort of. I had to fix it a lot, cause it messed up about once a week, and the colour was monochromatic, but it weren't so bad.

Mom says I shouldn't talk to people I don't know. That sure don't leave me with many people. Maybe it'll be okay like this. .. I kind of wish Biggs was here, though.

Luke, really, you shouldn't keep secrets from your own parents. Granted, I think we're all aware that you were raised by filthy, dirt-poor moisture farmers, but one would assume that you had managed to at least pick up a sense of courtesy over the years away from them. Perhaps he damaged the part of your brain that processes those things when he beat you for displaying Force-sensitivity. Goodness, what a barbarian he was.
