I would know it would work out this way. I arrive here, and you're here already, LaCroix. I'm not certain exactly what is going on yet, but I get the feeling it will be quite interesting with both of us here.

How goes the thinking?

It's been over a week since the blank post of blankness, so I thought I should check up on you.

There's actually not much to do by way of the whole helping thing when you're on the bad side of Miss Bitch Slay-Queen and your patrols get done anyway

I actually stopped a crime. This looser guy with a knife, he had some poor girl by the arm, so I grabbed the knife and made sure he wasn't getting up any time soon. Then the cops showed and everything. Weirdly, there weren't many vampires on my route, the vampires were suspiciously lacking last night actually, almost like someone got there before me which is a little pointless, wasting time and resources and all but whatever. Not my call. Still helping is helping even when stakes and superpowers aren't involved.

I think some people forget that sometimes.

Finally got the stitches out. Thank god. The itching was driving me insane. Feels good being able to move again and not worry that I'm going to tear my side open again. Now the only problem is, I've still got a week off work and I'm not sure what to do with it. Sitting around at home will be more annoying than the stitches.

New vamp in town, or really a returning old one. Calls himself Harth Fray. He's pretty badass and basically seems to be half Slayer. So be careful with him, do not treat him like a regular vampire and anyone who brings me his dusted remains gets a cookie. I promise I won't even make it myself but get you a decent one, flavor of your choice.

All jokes aside, we don't know exactly what we're dealing with with him yet and quite which parts of the Slayer package he has. I don't want to lose anyone to him, so not afraid to emphasize the being careful here. I'm adding another training session a week for those on my Offensive Team, where you all get the fun of attacking me, getting used to the Slayer instincts and all in case he has them.

Another day, another bad guy or several. And here I was wanting a trip to Disneyland. Ah well, Goofy would probably have turned out to be a demon anyway.

Great day. Fall is almost here, the windows in the apartment are all open, and I'm getting ready to make what will hopefully be a successful, homemade meal for the man and me. Of course, now that I've gone and typed that, it's probable that the steaks will spontaneously combust ala Lindsey's infamous apple-cinnamon muffin attempt, and I'll be forced to reassess.

So we're just stuck here then? Until the powers or whatever they're called decide to send us back?

Does that mean if we're dead we'd go back to being dead? I wouldn't mind that actually.

I feel so much better now that I don't need an arm sling or crutches. That was a very close call. I feel like singing. Praise the Lord, it's so good to be alive, Amen brothers.. no, I better stop that before I get struck down mysteriously But I have an idea, for maybe next week, or the week after. I can give everyone at work a day off, instead using the lot as a setting for an outside feast. Like a bake sale or something. Cake, donuts, rotisserie chicken, ribs, drinks, punch, cotton candy.. the works. Maybe a few games too. You know, like a dunking pool, baseball cage, or something.

And those bins by the left area of the building. Those are free for anyone to donate canned food, old toys they don't want anymore, or clothes. They usually go to shelters or to anyone that needs it. I know we don't get snow.. but California can still get cold in winter. There's plenty of stuff in there for the moment, but every little bit helps. Oh, and.. that little feast idea. It'd be open to the public, so pretty much anyone is welcome. It's just a matter of picking a good sunny day for it. That way there would be little to no chance of rainclouds ruining it. Side note, though... my company is still hiring if anyone wants to make more money.

Or Tenel Ka Djo-Solo? I think that has too many 'O' sounds. Also it would be Queen Mother Tenel Ka Chume' Ta Djo-Solo.

Hapan names and title get confusing. Either way we sucsessfully did it. And then kind of vanished for a while. I doubt anyone blames us.

I'd forgotten how very satisfying it was to clean out a nest all on your own, with no one else to watch out for. That can't be a healthy form of therapy.

Too bad it didn't have the one I wanted.

I really wish meat shops were open 24-7. I'd do almost anything for a steak right now!
