Is it terribly hypocritical of me to tell my father to accept that his mother is in love with someone other than my grandfather, and simultaneously be disappointed that he isn't in love with my mother?

Yeah, okay, I need a drink. I think that's what situations like this call for. A really strong drink. Like burbon. Or whiskey. Or something gold colored.
