I'm not a science guy and we're pretty fricking exhausted so thinking isn't great but I saw people saying about no sunlight being shit and all that. Does moonlight help at all? It's sort-of sunlight.

I've been here one week and one day. And I can safely say that I still very much hate Dunwich.

But I can also say that there are some very kind people here who are willing to take the time to make people feel comfortable, and even escort their sorry asses around town. Which -- you know. Thanks for that. If anyone still has offers of drinks and commiseration, I'm happy to indulge though I need a few days of recuperation in between. Sometimes the idea of drinking these days gives me a hangover, especially if I don't have time to whip up some kind of remedy.

Speaking of.

I've also noticed there's a lot of -- variety here. Of people. A lot of magic types and whatever else. So I'm going to go against every antisocial bone in my body and propose a meeting of minds. I'm sure everyone's tried thinking of ways to get home, but sometimes a little collaboration doesn't hurt. And if that fails, learning ways to combine our talents could be good, too.

And who doesn't like midnight margaritas?

You don't need to specifically be a witch or anything to get involved. Any kind of powers or whatever is fine, so long as you bring something to the table. I've got people to get back to, you know?

Anyway, let me know. If there's interest, I'll pick a day out of my very busy and full schedule for it.

I'm Gordo, by the way.

And typing with one hand is fucking hard so.
I'm done.

EDIT:
Thanks for the interest. I'm thinking Saturday night. 8pm til whenever the fuck. Hopefully no one works later than that?

Happy Autumn Equinox and Blessed Mabon to all who celebrate.

If I was at home, my sister witches and I would be preparing a feast for tonight, after a day outside foraging and harvesting.Probably followed by a fire and a ceremony lead by our Supreme. There were rumors she was going to invite the White Witch as well, which would have been amazing. That won’t be the case this time, but I think I might go for a walk and have a small fire on the beach when it gets darker.

Does anyone know anything about raising kittens? I, uh- found one in the shed as we were clearing it out. He seems awfully small to be on his own, and I'm..not at all prepared. We had an older cat back home, who basically already knew how to hunt and fend for himself if he needed to.

I don't get what anyone has been talking about this month. I haven't seen anything strange at all. No one trying to call me or anything.

WELCOME
Your new life starts here.
CODE BY

ARRIVAL

The thick, ghastly haze of the mist, once practically opaque to the naked eye, fades and opens up to a nostalgic homegrown New England town. A friendly gazebo, freshly painted white sits on a neatly mown lawn at the center of the town square. Vehicles stop at the redlight while locals cross the street, birds chirp in the trees, and a school bus stops to pick up a few children in oversized backpacks. Pedestrians walk by you without a second glance. Did they not see you suddenly appearing out of nowhere? How could they not have noticed that all encompassing fog? And why doesn’t your obviously otherworldly attire catch their attention? This appears to be a small, close knit community. And it’s clear you’re not from around these parts.

But these are simply the first of many mysteries you’re about to discover.

The further you investigate your new surroundings, the more ominous this seemingly quaint and colloquial town becomes. There’s something dark beneath its pleasant guise. You can’t shake the chill at the back of your neck and the sense that someone—or something—is watching you. Then there’s the odd graffiti on the alleyway walls and the way the locals talk about certain locations. And while the mist is gone, there are places in town that make you reminisce about the mist. Places that feel supernaturally thin. Thin enough to let in whispers from the other side. Or maybe even screams.

And don’t worry if you hear laughter or the jingling chimes of carnival coming from the rain gutters in the street. That’s just your imagination. There’s nothing down there.

Nothing that floats.
