I turned 42 in mortal years on Sunday. The first low-key birthday I've basically ever had. As a present to myself I set up a small home distillery at Hellkids House in attempt to make my own rum and whisky. We'll see how it goes. Rum is the priority.

I'll start. I'm Nikolai Lantsov, King of Ravka. I've also been known as the Bastard King, the Demon King, and Sturmhond, back in my privateering days. Ravka is a young country, and from what I can find, most like early-industrial Russia in this world. Magic exists there, practiced by Grisha- one of my most talented and trusted is also here, but I, unfortunately, have no powers of that type.

Tower of Pizza wanted me to share with others that they have lobstrosity pizzas available this month. They especially recommend the crispy thin-crust one topped with lobstrosity meat, cream sauce, caramelised shallots and ricotta.

There's also a 'kiss-before' special, which is a two-for-one special on garlic bread. You don't actually have to kiss anyone to get it. We can also make any pizza heart-shaped.

So there, I've told you.  Tobias, this can count for you too.

So Ronnie told me someone was interested in reviving Corroded Coffin with us.

That got me thinking if I held tryouts would anyone want to audition for a metal band?

Ronnie's on drums. I play guitar and sing. Minimum we need a bass, but another guitar and vocals would be good. Not that we can play outside of Dunwich, but we're pretty much used to playing in the same small town for about five drunks in a dive bar on a good night?

Ability to dodge beer bottles a plus.

Must be comfortable practicing in a literal dungeon.

So far I've managed to

- Get my room in our house back, but found more people in it than I realized I would
- Avoided getting hexed
- Lost a glare-off with a cat
- Secured a position to annoy Daimon on a daily basis
- Got vaguely caught up on weird shit happening

I'm kind of glad I missed Halloween (but not someones birthday).

For those with siblings, how justified is it to hex your sister when YOUR CAT has to tell you she's back instead of HER DOING SO?

I just looked at the calendar and realized today is an anniversary of sorts. At least where I'm from. 21 October is the day God first started to create the universe. I'll refrain from quoting Douglas Adams here.
