Party at the Up and Up Bon Temps. It's not open, I'm making it open. It's Meg's birthday and we all need a break. And a drink. Lots of drinks. Bring more booze and your pretty selves.

Mind and Motion is going to be halting all afternoon classes for the time being - and we'll no longer be hosting dance nights on the weekends. I'll still be hosting beginners yoga and meditation classes in the mornings. But I'm going to need a little time to shuffle things around and maybe hire some more help before we are back up to full capacity.

Sixth Street is closed for renovations; however, I'm now in need of a manager to assist me with the re-opening. Preferably a frequent customer before, but I'm open. If you know about boba, that would be most welcome. Xavier was planning on introducing me to the drink. I'm not familiar enough with it to make it yet myself.

We will be opening again Monday under my ownership. Details yet to come.

How are you all doing? Do you need anything or a mentor/guide? I need to go through and cross check the list, but I don't want anyone without in the mean time.

For Thursday, the 23rd, I'm going to do something a little different for Finer Things Club.   A cheese pairing night.   Because of RoxxCart's

I'm going to ask everyone that comes to bring something they'd like to see paired with the right cheese, such as wine, chocolate, nuts, fresh fruit, dried fruit, salami, prosciutto, coppa, pepperoni, jamón ibèrico, chorizo, baguettes, honey, truffles, crackers.  Whatever you like, and I can suggest what cheese would go best with it. It doesn't have to be fancy.  If we end up sharing recipes for grilled cheese and mac and cheese, that's okay too. 

I would like to be a bit party-like - if anyone wants to help me organize it, that would be appreciated.

Regular finer things club is still happening too.  Every Thursday.  It's a club for trying new foods and things that some of us didn't have the chance to try back home.  Everyone's welcome, even if things aren't new to you.

Monday - Got startled by a cat, fog came up yada yada. I was thinking about coffee before the cat. Went through the Todash space, nothing familiar, just nothingness. I was half a block from the coffee green and I ended up by Carbunkle. I felt annoyed afterward.
Tuesday - nothing.
Wednesday - nothing.
Today - Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I thought I heard my name, and it was creepy, and I stepped and ended up at that statue. You know the one. The vision one. I was scared. Before, during, after. No visible landmarks in the todash space.

Let's play Dunwich Would You Rather.   It's a simple game of making a choice between two options. The options are hard to choose between, and also fun, nothing too personal. I ask a question, you answer it, then you can ask a question. Anyone can play.

Here's the question:
Would you rather wear a lobster costume on really, really high stilts or wear a lobster costume with really, really long lobster legs strapped to your back?  I actually saw both on locals, one in the parade and one on a pageant contestant.

I'm going to miss Katniss a lot.

The pageant was fun and entertaining. I don't see it as maybe something I'll do again, but it was unique. Everyone did wonderful who participated, too.

Are pageants in towns like this always the same pattern? I am not familiar with them. Alexis helped me with this one.

That pageant is in less than a week. A thought just occurred to me - what if there's a talent portion?  Does that happen in these things?   My talent could be a magic act.  There'll be a big puff of smoke and I'll disappear, only to be replaced by a wolf on stage.  Not really, in case the locals actually notice.  I'll think of something.

What else could be in this thing?  An interview?

I, um. Found a lobstrocity crawling up into my yard from the creek today. It's dead now, but- anyone wanna come over for a lobstrocity meal?

Several months ago I had a spirit or a monster in the mirror following me until I destroyed a mirror. Now I have a doll that won't stop following me around.

Did anyone else get a doll in their Christmas gifts? Because that's what this one is, and I don't know why it keeps showing up when I keep putting it away or trying to throw it out. I don't know if it's a ghost or a curse or something else, but I really, really don't like it.

I don't know if you recall our first meeting, memorable though it was, but on the off chance that you do, I could use some advice. Our disappearing friend has reappeared. In the same spot that we saw her last time.

She has dropped in before, and I'm beginning to suspect she's not so much a committed prankster or a figment of my imagination as a, ah, visitor. Of the undead variety.

I don't mean to alarm anyone, but I feel it's important to note that I was attacked by a rather large feline last night, about a block away from Pickman. I am fine in thanks to Sheriff Hopper, but the cat is still out there. Please stay vigilant.

Soooo, uh. I know they say that this place brings unexpected gifts, but now I've been gifted a house? Okay, not gifted exactly, but Ellery, the owner at Heritage Handcrafts had some family who owned it and long story short it's mine now. It's a converted church, which is pretty incredible, and Clio's going to have her own space with high ceilings to fly around in.

And conveniently (?) there's a parish house for rent, if anybody's looking for somewhere to move. One bed, one bath, but it's got a full size kitchen and bathroom.

Let's just hope this fog doesn't get too bad while I'm moving my stuff over.

I have a beautiful new scarf from Christmas and a fabulous new sweater from the auction. I'm feeling the need for a shopping trip to get accessories for them. Does anyone want to come with me?
