I’m sure you’ve all seen the network message, but I can confirm Luke is really gone. I didn’t it was it, but I felt him go. It wasn’t like It was very sudden. It feels strange not to have that sense of him anymore, even if he was from too far in the past to really know me.

Has anyone noticed any new beings beyond our new arrivals? Or felt like there are other entities around you but you can't hear or see them?
Force sensitives
I can feel other entities via the Force but not see or hear them. It's a bit unnerving. I'm not getting a malicious sense of them, but there are somethings out there that we can't see.
Is anyone else experiencing this or have previous experience with it?
The closest I can think of is spirits in Mortis or of Master Qui-Gon's Force ghost. Yet, those were all visible and I could hear them.

Captain Pike's First Get-To-Know-You Dinner
Maybe you've seen Captain Pike interjecting his optimism on the network here and there. Perhaps you even commented on his introduction post. Or bumped into him in the corridor at Pickman House. Regardless of how you may have met him — or not met him! — Pike has been paying attention to you. (As any good captain would, of course!) It's his prerogative to get to know his crew. And with the Enterprise in another universe, the Dunwich newcomers have become his new crew. As such, he wants to get to know them. Not just because he's looking for the individuals who can be counted on in a crisis, but to really know and understand the people he's stranded with. Which is why he's decided to continue with his longstanding tradition of 'Bridge Crew Dinners'. Granted, there's no bridge here. Someone I knew said there's usually a causality between people with strength showing up and the number of threats that happen because of that. It's not an at-fault situation so much as that's what happens when you get a bunch of heightened or super skilled people, the rest of the world tries to follow. The Avengers, from my world, were there to help stop those who intended to harm people.
I've been thinking about the charity I plan to run, and along with it, I want us to be prepared for the potential eventuality that things place is going to throw at us. Lobster/scorpions, vampires, the locals, — who knows what else this place has in store for us. I want to be prepared.
I know the subject of powers and skill sets can be a touchy one so if you're not comfortable telling anyone — or even me — that's completely fine. If you want to share it privately, I'm good at keeping secrets. I'd like to know who we have here in case of various scenarios.

It appears as though I have also been tasked with employment. In another lifetime, had I not chosen the route of senator and everything that followed, I imagine I could have chosen teaching. I guess this is that other lifetime. I'll be teaching political science at Derleth University. I'll probably need to do quite a lot of reading up on the politics of this world, so if anyone would like to talk about their experience, I'd like to listen.

Hey, so unless you know how to kill vampires, be careful going out at night. This town has got some pretty nasty ones.
If you don't know what they are, short version's this: fangs, the go out at night, they want to drink your blood and probably kill you. Giles and Spike can explain more - but G, these are worse than the ones back home, but not ubervamp level, fyi. Spike, have fun with em.

If you don't care or don't wanna know and you don't have a way of defending yourself and find yourself cornered, my number's [###-###-####], Giles's is [###-###-####] and the best thing to do is stay outta their way or run hard and fast the other direction.

I'm going to be a student at Derleth college at the start of the next semester. I've already got an acceptance letter, a scholarship, and an admissions package. I always wanted to go to college! I didn't think I'd get the chance.
I've got a job too, as a wildlife technician in the state park. I get to spend my time outside and be around animals. The job actually uses a lot of my hunting skills without me actually having to kill anything.
This is more of a life than I ever thought I'd get to have.

ARRIVAL
The thick, ghastly haze of the mist, once practically opaque to the naked eye, fades and opens up to a nostalgic homegrown New England town. A friendly gazebo, freshly painted white sits on a neatly mown lawn at the center of the town square. Vehicles stop at the redlight while locals cross the street, birds chirp in the trees, and a school bus stops to pick up a few children in oversized backpacks. Pedestrians walk by you without a second glance. Did they not see you suddenly appearing out of nowhere? How could they not have noticed that all encompassing fog? And why doesn’t your obviously otherworldly attire catch their attention? This appears to be a small, close knit community. And it’s clear you’re not from around these parts.
But these are simply the first of many mysteries you’re about to discover.
The further you investigate your new surroundings, the more ominous this seemingly quaint and colloquial town becomes. There’s something dark beneath its pleasant guise. You can’t shake the chill at the back of your neck and the sense that someone—or something—is watching you. Then there’s the odd graffiti on the alleyway walls and the way the locals talk about certain locations. And while the mist is gone, there are places in town that make you reminisce about the mist. Places that feel supernaturally thin. Thin enough to let in whispers from the other side. Or maybe even screams.
And don’t worry if you hear laughter or the jingling chimes of carnival coming from the rain gutters in the street. That’s just your imagination. There’s nothing down there.
Nothing that floats.
